The Silverstar Ultra 9005 bulbs match perfectly with the stock HID's, so I definitely recommend replacing the high beam bulbs. I hated the stock high beams because you could see the yellow from the highs and the bright white from the HID's at the same time and they didn't match. I doubt you can get any closer to matching than with the Silverstars. The Silverstar H11 fog light bulbs match nicely as well, and both the highs and fogs are easy to change.

I also replaced the front turn signals with these, now during the day so you can nice blue reflection in the headlights.

Hey I was thinking about changing some of the lights on my car. I changed all of the interiors w/ LEDs. They came out great and look real nice at night. So much brighter too. These one can replace the front map, rear domes, all doors, foot lights on both sides, license plates, trunk n glove box which is pretty easy
http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED/C...81039-1-2.html

I also looked up some other ones to replace my fogs and came across these. They are pretty expensive but seem really nice. Didnt buy them though so jus basing it on the interior ones i got.
http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED/D...62693-1-2.html

I also tinted my tails and dont want to see the amber bulbs anymore. Someone told me about these which are cool cuz they are mirror finish and can flash in three colors. Havent gotten these yet either cuz im not sure if i want to go w leds for the rear turn signals. heres the link.
http://www.xenonmods.com/ jus click on the mirror/chrome bulbs and scroll down to the 7440's.

Gear Head I like idea of the silverstars for the highs and fogs. Have any pics??

If someone who has done the LCD swap out could list how many of each are needed that would be wonderful and much appreciated.

Got the interior package from "ledbulbz". Anyone have any idea what LED's are necessary to replace the lights in the visors?

are you sure all of these numbers are accurate? because i just took all of the covers off my interior lights and the map lights, dome lights, floor light, and step/courtesy lights are all the same bulb. But you have the map and domes as 175 but they are the same as the steps which you said were 194. are 175/194/and 158 all the same? Also I'm looking at a lot of these lights and they are the same size but look like they wont physically fit under the covers??? Im confused and i need to know exactly what size/shape bulbs will fit under the lenses please

ps.

will these replace my HIGH BEAMS without any modding (just drop in)

All the bulbs for the interior are 194. Here is the link to the ones you want for a clean white look:
http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED/C...85865-1-2.html

As for the high beams I would just change to the silverstar or silverstar ultra to match the color of the lows since the highs aren't used as often. Because it is too expensive and a waste to convert to HIDs for the Highs. You would need the whole conversion kit to make those bulbs work, balasts and all.

I am still doing my homework on some of these mods I am seeing and will begin my own set to change a few things out on my max. I will start a thread when I start and put updates as I go along too the finished product.

Underneath the front. You have to take down the splash guard to get to them.

Ok so, I want to replace the following bulbs:

-All of the interior light and

-Reverse Lights

-Fogs (just regular bulbs, not HiDs)

What brand do you all recommend? Nice bluish White color and good decent bulb company with reasonable prices.

Please post, thank you

Do you want LEDs or just blue/white bulbs? Most of us are changing the interior lights to LEDs. The reverse and fogs can be changed to LEDs or just different bulbs. refer to my earlier post to see which LEDs I am using for the interior.

I guess for the interior i would get the LEDs, just hope they are Not to bright, do not want to get a head ache with all the brightness.
Could you post some pics off your interior please....?

For the fogs and the reverse light, I just want Regular good quality Hight output lights for the Fogs. I know HiDs would be great, but that would mean too much work + it might be too bright for the road compared to the headlights, that would not look right.

Any pics you all can post would be awesome, thanks

What do you all think?

I just picked up some real nice 168 bulbs for the Max at autozone a few days ago, only 4 bucks, you should go check em out there called xtreme lites. Nice whitish blue color, looks much better than the ugly yellow bulbs it came with stock.

So I'm bringing this thread back...

Has it been determined since this thread whether or not all of the bulbs for the interior are the same, or if they are different as shown in the list that Alpha provided:

Glove box
158

Map light
175

Dome light
175

Step/Courtesy light
194

Trunk/Cargo area
158

Also, has it been determined if the LED bulbs will fit behind the plastic lenses for each of these lights?

Do you know what # they all are if they are the same? On the Sylvania website the list I pasted above seems correct, except for the Step/Courtecy light, it says that one depends on the time if year the car was made, and to check the stock bulb to see what you have....

Do you have a link for the LED's you just bought? Did you install them yet?

I just purchased a pair of license plate bulb and a pair of dome bulb,

If you buy from the, use the code GOJDM for 10% off My bill was 30 bucks and it knocked it down to 28.01. Not much but its better than no discount.

So I've been swapping out some lights on my wife's Max and have run into a small issue. I swapped the stock front turn signal/parking light bulbs for a pair of Silverstar Ultras. They flash amber, but have a silver-ish coating on them. The problem is that the front sidemarker bulbs are more yellow than the orange/amber that the silverstar ultras are. Didn't know if anyone might have a suggestion on some WY5W or 2827's that would better match the color of my newly installed turn signal bulbs. Thanks in advance!

Any tips on how to access the rear license plate lights?

I'm doing a full car LED upgrade and don't want to take the trunk lid apart unless it is required. It doesn't look like changing them from the outside is possible either though...

Thanks
