if the tranny is making weird noises and has crap in the fluid, etc, etc.... then the rev sensor is a moot point. besides the fact that if the rev sensor goes bad, the TCU just uses the speed sensor (primarily used for speedo and odometer) instead. ie if your speedo works then the rev sensor doesn't rly matter, thus if you have trans problems, the rev sensor is not the cause of it.
