yes red would work and probably be the best. I recommend you get the 4leds made by Oznium. You can buy them at
www.oznium.com. Here are the ones I recommend you get.
http://www.oznium.com/prewired-superflux They are waterproof and have a wide angle of light which is important for reflection. They are also extremely bright, and considering you are getting red which does not illuminate so bright in the first place, these are your best bet. Install is a piece of cake and if you screw up you can easily replace the handle with a new one. Take your time and be gentle when drilling and you should be golden.
