i think this was a great question, many here probably wanted to know but didnt wanna get flamed.

you can lower your car with lowering springs but depending on the lowering height you have to match your struts accordingly.

for example: eibach pros are 1.7 front and 1.5 rear with these you can use kyb gr2's

for example: tein s techs are 2.2 front and 1.8 with these you should use tokico illumina or something that can withstand the aggressiveness of the s techs.
