'My mechanic said'...that's never the way to get something done.
If he thinks he knows what the problem is, then why isn't
he the one fixing it?
If you don't do the diagnostics
yourself, you don't
know what did or didn't show up.
Again, have you or have you not checked all of the connections? That's most likely the issue.
