Dunlop Direzza Star Specs are the tires of choice right now. They are winning every comparison they're put in. They win dry traction and try track time comparisons by a little bit, and absolutely demolish every other tire in their class in the wet. And they're the cheapest in their class by a long shot. That said, my best street tire 60' times ever came on some 4 or 5 year old all season H rated tires and I've never noticed any significant improvement in 60' times from one street tire to another, from old *** all seasons to high end wide Z rated tires, over the course of about 500 track passes (probably 300 of which were on street tires).
