VQ35HR Plenum

VQ35HR Plenum
Hi All,
I have a Off road Buggy, Currently has a VQ40de in it.
I would like to know if some one could assist in telling me if the VQ35HR inlet manifold , plenum (duel throttle bodies) would fit on the VQ40de without any fitting drama's. Would this achieve anything or am I wasting my time?
If I drop down in class I have to run 3.5ltr I would run the VQ35HR, would the VQ40 Heads help with HP or low down Torque?
cheers

The HR lower plenum sits at a different angle on the head compared to the regular DE plenum so it won't seat properly. A best I understand the vq40 shares the older DE architecture but I could be wrong.

I know this isn't completely on topic, but I'd really like to see this buggy.
You might have better luck checking a 350z forum since neither of these motor models are on any Maximas, unfortunately.

That is absolutely bad a$$ man. To answer your question as best as I can I am pretty sure the ONLY difference between the VQ35DE and 40DE is the stroke of the piston. Which I can't even remember if its the crank or if it's the connecting rods that increase the stroke. Pretty sure its the crankshaft. The HR heads are different than the DE heads.
Your buggy Needs torque correct? And if I am then your best bet would be to stick with the VQ40, find a way to see IF it's possible to use 35HR cams and OR give Brian Cower a call and get some of Stage 2 cams. This might sound silly but using a maxima Plenum that has been totally bored out with those cams would see a nice bump in torque down low, ESPECIALLY from the VQ40.

I don't recall the info anymore but there was at least one thread over at the my350 forum discussing the differences and interchangability between these engines. Some guy wanted to drop the 4.0 into his 350...
