Planning to sell the max

After 6 years with this 2004 and 150 000km (200k total)im planning to sell my 2004 for a 2011 jeep grand cherokee overland v8 or v6, soon.

Max is still perfectly fine but i just would like a 4x4 luxury suv.

Still wondering if I keep the max another year or so or if I jump on the jeep... oh well.

Eh, it's a 6th gen. I don't blame you for not wanting it anymore

It's perfectly fine really, best car I've ever had.
Completely trouble free at 200 000km.... I just did the spark plugs and PCV valve again.

I just want a large luxury SUV because I can, and it's safer and better in snow.

Don't pay any attention to D. Stillwell. He is one of those 5.5 gen owners that can't wrap their head around the fact that the majority of 6th gen owners love their cars and don't have any problems with them. While he sits around in a car made over a decade ago with outdated technology and aesthetics.

He also claims he has an m3 that will do 200 mph. In the likelihood his ride is heavily modded, going down hill with gale force tail winds and 10 min of straight unobstructed highway in perfect pristine condition, he's probably calling 200 mph a job well done as indicated by his spedo. FYI at those speeds your speedo will be off by a significant amount. 200mph spedo=180 ACTUAL MPH. I'd like to see a video, any car enthusiast with a 200mph car who makes that run uses a camera to document the near death experience, period.

Kryogen, get the SRT Jeep. That thing is a beast. I plan to get one in the future for the same reasons you stated, but the SRT is a must, I gotta have the power.

^ Wrong

Sorry just had to correct you.

1. I have a 5th gen, not 5.5. I can wrap my head around 6th gen owners loving their cars just as everyone loves their cars. Was trying to be sarcastic, knowing the stigma of the 6th gen around here. My 5th gen is in way better shape than ANY 6th gen you can find with comparable miles, period, despite being made "over 10 yrs ago" and as for outdated remember I also have a 7th gen? And it's not even like the 5th gen is lacking in much technology? What don't I have from the 6th gen? Heated steering wheel?

2. I have few pics, few of which are quite clear, that show just under 180mph in my old m3 (e46, mostly stock). The current one (E36) is fully modded. Unfortunately, there is no way to take any video because it's too shaky at those speeds. Pics wise, like I said there's a few around 180mph from the E46 but any pics taken above 180 in the e36 are all motion blurred to crap. That said, a very bold and car loving passenger was taking the pics, I would never attempt to do both at once.

Besides that I agree with you guys, SRT Jeep is indeed beastly. However, I would never buy that car for it's horrid reliability and retarded gas guzzling.

Sad that ownership of the 5th and 7th Gens are so unsatisfying that you have to come into the forum for a model that you don't own or have any interest in and try to take a dump on it and the owners to get some sense of fulfillment.

I am getting a 2011 grand cherokee overland V6

The v8 is more powerful but older engine tech and consumes much more gas.

It's not a hot rod, it's a daily driver to be safe on the road and in the snow, I don't need to fly with it.

SRT is too expensive and honestly not needed. If I want a supercar I'll buy a porsche.... seriously.

In canada (can$)
paid the 2004 max 20k+tax 6 years ago. might sell for 5k now.
buying the JC for 30K+tax (worth 60K+tax new)

Already expensive enough for my taste. I could buy more but I find it dumb to pay more than that for a car at this point, my house isnt paid.

I love the max, I have taken real good care of it, it's all like new really. changed everything.

I just want a 4x4 jeep. Nothing against the max. If I wanted a car I would buy my max :P

got a 2011 v8 overland finally, with 45 000km, 33 000+tax (38 000$)

awesome ride. slower than the max but still rocks.
v6 was too slow for me to consider. even the v8 is slower than what I am used to.

tring to sell the max now.
