Drivers power window/regulator/motor/switch?
I've searched the archives but didn't find an answer to my problem. My '06 driver's window only works part of the time. If its warm, the window will go down perfectly, but usually needs help going up. If its cold, as its been forever here, the window doesn't move. Not even a hint of movement. No clicks, no groans, nothing. I'm not sure if it is the regulator, motor, master switch. Does anybody have any hints?

I was hoping to avoid changing everything but wanted to know if anybody had any tips. Should I just change the regulator, the motor, the switch? In what order? I'm guessing it might be the switch and the regulator because it does seem to work when the weather is warm but not too well because the window needs help the last few inches. Does anybody have any suggesstions?

I would first make sure the problem is electrical and not mechanical. Try turning the key to on without starting the car. Turn on headlights. Try rolling window down. If the window doesnt move but the headlights dim, then you have power to the motor. Ele ctric motors draw a lot more current when they cant work freely so it should dim your lights if all the electrics are in good order. I would next try lubricating the mechanicals of the window mechanism with silicone spray lubricant so it can operate freely. You might get lucky and find that it solves your problem for $5 before replacing more expensive parts. Good luck man.

The motor is going bad.
Replaced mine 2 months back - same symptoms (only mine died in driveway)
Napa cost is $110, unless you go online and order cheaper.
Be prepared for it to stop in the open position.
Not hard to replace, use youtube as your guide - takes about 30 minutes.
