A couple things:
- There's a huge suspension thread with a **** ton of info around here, search is your friend
- Everyone's opinion is gonna be different, too many options
Figure out what you want in terms of ride height, and how much do you want to change the handling, how much are you willing to sacrifice ride comfort, etc, etc..
But as the general consensus around here goes, seems like many people prefer Progress/Tokico combination or Tein. Both Progress and Tein is a more aggressive drop that will lead to bottoming out on potholes and you will have problems if you live in an area with bad roads. Also, progress and tein offer probably the most even drop and eliminate all the wheel gap.
Personally I went with H&R Springs + KYB GR2's, and I love it. Greatly improved handling and takes away the floaty stock feeling but still comfy enough and not too low where you would have problems. The Eibach kit is almost identical but stiffer spring and sits slightly (0.3") higher in rear. I wish the H&R was just a bit lower in the front, but looks good especially if you put 18's in there.
Decide if you want a modest drop or a more serious drop. Basically I'd be choosing between H&R or Eibach for a modest drop and between Progress/Tein for an aggressive drop. For the struts many like Tokico Illuminas, some like KYB.
Of course there is always coilovers, but unless you're looking to get really serious on a track with that car, and you feel like spending $800-1000 for coilovers, I don't see a point. I put coilovers on my M3, no reason to do it on the Maxima IMO.

coilovers because the time u buy a nice set of spring and shocks and then pay someone to install them u have almost paid for a nice set of bc coilovers and they have all of the adjustment u want from stock to slammed in the dirt . where I work we run bcs on any thing from a daily to our customers track cars and they perform great.
