Transmission Well Hex Bolt

I can't get this bad boy open to drain/refill. Anyone ever have this problem and have advice? I'm putting pretty good force behind the hex key..Tried getting some wd40 on there with no luck. Will probably just bring it to have it flushed once if I don't get this guy open.

Put the key in the bolt and tap it (the end of the key) in the counter clockwise direction with a hammer. I used a heavy mallet which pretty much broke it free after 1 or 2 hits.

Mine came off very easily, and when you tighten it back up its suppose to be torqued to only 15 lb. pressure.

Dealership did my first fluid exchange. I had a hell of a time getting the drain plug loose when I did it myself. Used a cheater bar to break it loose and only snugged it a 1/4 turn when I put it back in.

garages over tighten things ALOT. I usually do oil changes, but my gf had one to do this winter, and I couldn't do it, She has a rav4 and the oil filter needs to be tightened to only approx 18 pounds. I had to use a large breaker bar and cuss alot to remove it.

Guess that if it breaks they will blame it on me.

That's just like the rear suspension recall. They had to make sure the rear links would not come loose. So they impacted them until the rubber is all crushed and cracked, then stopped. So they basically destroyed the rear links.

I hate going to the garage, they do not care about your car. They torque your lugnuts to 300 pounds.

A girl I work with had the garage put back 2 crossthread lugnuts ran fully in with the impact. She still can't get one off, and destroyed her lugnut trying.
