i know a local kid to me and he did the k sport air ride and ive heard that hondas with cut springs ride better.... the car lays motor when its bagged but the ride DEF leaves something to be desired when driving....

never mind.. I have to pass on it.. its just that i can seem to find a good..durable suspension for the max.. i had 2 sets of stocks blown out.. .then by the recommendation of this forum and my mechanic... i got kyb GR2....installed in feb and blown already..

From everything I've learn. Coilovers are the way to go if your gonna drop it. That's what I'm gonna get when I drop my ride. Other aftermarket parts are a gamble sometimes. It can work well for some and for others. It's horrible.
Coilovers are much better in quality and are more durable. Also, the struts are designed to work with the springs themselves. Compared to mixing and matching in general.

Monroe Sensa Trac are your best bet. I have them and they are worth the extra cost versus KYB and the others. The Max will never handled bumps as smoothly as it should but with these shocks it's a lot better and highway cruising is perfect.

my mechanic recommends against monroe.. he told me they are total crap...so I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place... 6th gens have too many issues man... i need a new ride...

kyb GR2 aren't great, where do you live that your blowing out your struts?. Do you have like 10 people in the car and go off roading? The monroe should have a good warranty. If they are crap at least you can swap them out with warranty ones...

Monroes have a lifetime warranty. I've had mine for about 3 years and I swear by them. There are several others on here that swapped out to the Monroes. I had my OEM struts changed 3 times on stock springs for a blown strut before switching. I had the Monroes dropped with Progress springs for a while too and no problems. I switched back to OEM springs b/c of the crappy roads here in Cleveland, OH. Good luck on finding replacements and report back what you switched to.
