Just a general question

I was wondering if the side mirrors are automatically suppose to fold in when you park. I don't know if every maxima has this option or not but I have been wanting to know this for a long time. I thought I've seen it do it before but was not positive. Thanks for any input!

The ones that fold, have to be done manually. None are automatic, 6th gens anyway. Mine aren't auto, I fold them by depressing that button.

i have heard of people doing this. It is nothing that comes stock on any maxima, but you can configure your max so that when your key is "off" the mirrors fold in.

You have to press the button and they automatically come in and out, but if you leave the button in the open position after you park if they are folded in once you start the car they will fold out automatically.

Who would I take it to?? I really want to configure the car to do this as I think it should already for the money you spend on this kind of car... : -/

This has been discussed before, several times, but no one has been able to find a proper wiring solution. I know some Benzs have this set up, if we could find out what power source they are wired to we could copy it. Good luck.

I'll look into this and get back to you. It's not rocket science. Just gotta find what wire to trigger and how to trigger it.

I had them done that way in my Mitsubishi back in the day. I had the power wire from one of the mirrors hooked up to my cigarette lighter. Worked just fine. In the max however is not that big of a deal just push a button, just like the windows. I push the button after I turn the car on. When I start it, they will unfold by themselves.

power folding mirrors are hard to find in most midsize to entry level luxury cars, The new Generation Maxima 09 to present doesnt have that option.

I hope BOOTZ figures it out. Mine fold with a push of a button but I would really like them to do be able to do it on there own without hitting a button Call me crazy.

It's not that I'm lazy... It's a neat feature to have and as far as I'm concerned these cars 07-08 should have at least gotten that feature. I think it's even more ridiculous the 7th gens don't even have that.! Thats just F-ing nuts! Like I said.. Bootz figures this out he'll be my hero
