Whats up everyone? Just wanted to get your recommendations on routine service. I have a 2008 Maxima that just passed 40,000 miles. Besides oil changes every 3000 miles and tire rotations... I haven't done any of the other recommended services. The car runs great. No issues at all.

Now I know the dealership will have a long list of things I should get done. Recommendations? At 40K miles, is there anything I should really get done soon?

A BG fuel service,to clean your injectors and fuel rails would a good idea at 40,000+ miles.

If you haven't already, change your transmission fluid. I assume you've already changed your air filter and cabin filters a few times.

I was at about 40000 miles and dealership said mine needed to be changed to fix a problem i had. At about 25mph there would be a surge in rpm that would make the car accelerate a little bit while braking lightly. It was really noticeable when i wasn't on the brakes. Almost rear ended a couple of cars when coming to a slow stop. Dealership said it was recommended at 30000 miles. It fixed that problem but it still feels like a five speed when driving through a parking lot or traffic at 15-20 mph. Motor mounts are fine.

Suggest you flush the radiator and anti-freeze at 40-50K. My local independent shop does not suggest trans. flush until 100K if at all.

Our 2007 is at 80K and going strong.
