Air conditioner went dead this season...
When I turn on the air conditioner, a sort of slow/dead/broken kind of moaning sound sound comes from behind the entire dash towards the engine bay. It's a hard sound to describe, as you may be able to tell...It sort of sounds like an EXTREMELY WEAK and BROKEN car horn, but more of an attempted blowing/motor sound...It comes when the AC button is pressed, and no cold air comes out. It isn't even cool. Thoughts?

you probably blew the compressor. if its not the compressor, you need to get a recharge.
the 6th gens do have a notorious leak though, check the low side hose right behind the front air dam. the metal crimp usually starts to leak. if it is leaking, get that hose replaced.. dont just keep recharging it cuz that will cause the hole to get bigger.

Being that this thread is about heating / cooling components of the car and I cannot post any new threads because of my membership "privileges", I'm going to post my question here. I've been having issues with my heating, it only gives hot air when I press the throttle. Whenever the car is idling, the air is cold and stays cold. Has anyone ever experienced this problem? What can be causing this? Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks

Yep luckily my driveway pitch is perfect. I replaced my alternator and had to remove the radiator so I did new belts and hoses. When I replaced the coolant I jacked it up even higher so the top of radiator was higher than the heater core I let it idle and revved it a couple of times. You saw the bubbles (air) coming out. Took some time but very easy.
