Door Panel replacement

Hey Guys,

it's been forever since I have been back since most things I found through searching helped and been busy DJing.. Well, my car is on the hit list. Hit and run that is.. someone banged up my Rear passenger side quarter panel and Rear passenger side door.

It's cosmetic at best but I look like a drunk that bangs up their whip and scratches it. Needless to say I am going to fix it but I want to make sure I am getting the right part. The door is in perfect shape except for the metal aluminum is dented.

My body shop friend told me to get a whole new door which seemed a little excessive. I will post pics soon when it's not -20 out here in New England.

This is the diagram of the door altogether

I want to order part #82152 - Nissan Part 82152-7Y030
Genuine Nissan PANEL-REAR DOOR

is this the right part to replace just the door skin? I imagine someone has better knowledge if I can just replace the metal.. structurally the door is sound its just dented at the creases in the panel and banging it out may look worse or not help at all.. I'll worry about the quarter panel some other time.

Thanks in advance guys!

If you have damage to the door skin its better to try and find a used one, have it painted to match, then hang it. If you have someone repair it youll be able to see the fix and itll cost $$$ to have it look right. Dont buy new! Check ebay for nissans_unlimited, theyre local here in houston but can ship and their parts are in decent shape.

Cool thanks for the tips! I ended up talking to my bodyshop guy and he suggested I check out some local junkyards. Was hoping to just find a whole new door and swap the guts of mine into it.. I don't mind getting it painted not as big of a deal. Everything is purely cosmetic at this point fortunately.. may have to put this project off for warmer weather.
