Twice labor for timing chain!?!
Unbelievable...Car's back in the shop this time for timing chain tensioner...less then a year ago they replaced the chains and the guide rails (something like that) but didn't change the tensioners and something else. All 3rd party warrantee work...why didn't they replace everything they had access to back then? Why didn't the warrantee company tell them to just add the extra parts on the list to cover their a$$? Hell I'd have even met them half way on the parts if it came to it. But i won't pay the 16 hours they are billing on this job a second time. Would have been some serious **** if they came back and said they couldn't get it covered...I'd have been all up on 'em for that ****...

That sux , be shure they replace everything in there mate , I hate that , they only replace the apparant stuff , but wait till everything breaks in order to replace the parts , It costs way more that way .
Hope they ll do a proper job this time around .

Holy crap, they need it one more day. Replacing a cover for the fly wheel and some gasket, along with that the water pump is being replaced since they'll already be in there...bill is over $4000, but he thinks the gasket leak is the initial cause. My out of pocket is only $250 for the work I had done not covered by the warrantee. I'll list everything after I get the car and invoice tomorrow. Wow, glad they didn't deny the claim!
