KCMaxx RSTB Review Thread

I got my RSTB from KCMAXX today. Here is my review. First thing first, this is my first suspension MOD I have an '04 SE with 127K on it. KC packed it with the utmost care (almost too much) to ensure it was not damaged in shipping. The install took about 30 minutes (10 of which was spent looking for a nut I dropped) and I even installed it under the carpet. I have to be honest, I expected the difference to be extremely minimal and probably mostly in my head to justify the expense. But honestly, the difference is very noticeable. It does an awesome job tightening up the rear in tight turns. I live in an apartment on the 5th floor with a parking garage and I usually get a lot of body roll in the turns, which was where I noticed the first difference. I made quite a few fast lane changes on the way to and from the gym this evening and I noticed it even more there. I am extremely happy with my purchase and it looks GREAT! Thanks KCMAXX!!!! I wish I could post pics, but I dropped my digital camera this weekend and it is out of commission.

just got my bar this morning. black cf

here how i got it. it was wrapped real good. took i while for me to finally unwrap it.

and here it is installed

so i just got back from my break and damn. i felt a difference. my tires didnt screech no more when i did a wide. i swerved a couple time to test it and it felt pretty cool. also did a couple u turns and car didnt roll at all. so i gotta say this is a pretty cool mod to reduce body roll. i only drove it for 15 mins and now i wanna go drive it again. so anybody whos thinking of getting this, GET IT. thank you mirster kc

2-bar setup review:

It's time to say my review after using the 2-bar set up for some time now. I had to wait until all settles in before I give my full, honest review.

Installation:

It was somewhat of a challenge at first, but turned out to be very straight forward and simple. You'll need to to be careful installing them because they're not too light and can easily get scratched... which sucks cuz they're very beautiful. Anyone could install them with patience and time. Other than that, piece of cake.

Quality and Durability:

Tested them on curves, streets, turns, etc and they held up pretty strong. Going up ramps diagnally makes not a hiss at all. Use to hear squeeks, etc becuz my car is lowered, but with the 2 bars to hold up rear section of the car, not even 1 squeek. Whatever the top bar lacks in stability, the bottom bar picks up, so i'm very happy with that. No body roll in the back, and it seems to be very solid. Combined with other suspensions Mods I have, I noticed a huge difference after installing them.

Overall, i'm very happy with the purchase. I recommend anyone that can affod it to do the 2-bar set up. It looks clean, and for those who saw my car during the stillen meet, saw how strong the bars hold up. If you don't believe me, try it out yourself and see.... guarantee it'll change your mind.

KC - thank you for taking the time and effort to make these bars available. It was pleasure doing business with you and will definitely do business with you again in the future. Items received were wrapped like a bride on her wedding night lol... took forever to unwrap, but very well worth it.

KC Rear upper support brace installed...

I love my Max, she's so loyal!!! I park her outside and yell "Prepare to receive Mod" and she does this!!! We can only pray one day our wifes or girlfriends......never mind...

Anyway I installed the brace today and not to hard (I give it a 1 wrench level of difficulty out of 10). First off looks great! Second I absolutely feel a somewhat stiffer rear in the turns, overall this mod gets 2 thumbs up as a handling mod and 3 thumbs up on the low cost, quality, and fast secure shipment!!! Thanks KC

Pictures of the install!

No Junk in the trunk...

Do you still have some RSTB to sell? And if yes, does it fit an Altima SER. I have read somewhere that it does, but just to be sure?
Thanks

So they fit the SE-R? And does the two bar setup work in as well?
