while I do agree about the lights, and the grill, this will make it easier and cheaper to improve the front end of 6th gens.

It'll be FRP, (fiber reinforced plastic) so it'll be flexible and light, price will be ~$300+S/H, which will vary depending on location.

I dunno....I like the idea, but the grill and headlights make the 6.5 nose...so all your really adding is fogs, which you'll still have to buy on top of the $300+shipping, so looking at like $500-$550 for bumper, shipping, and fogs plus paint, so maybe $650-$700 all set and done...just seems like too much money for not much change IMO...then add in the lip, your talking about $1k

Actually, good thing you bring that up, since the fogs are modified to fit your standard of the shelf projector fog lights, so no need to buy the expensive OEM lights, also there will be a discount when buying the bumper and lip together, all in all im going to make sure this swap is as affordable as possible, compared to the alternatives.

Damn, wish I had the money to spend on that set up, looks better, but then again... I would probably trade up to an 07', then I could get rid of that damn tranny issue, and my phantom vibration.

Cool Idear !

First off cool idea way to think out of the box ! I'd actually like it a bit more if it did use the oem fogs buts thats just me I like how the oem ones look . Second you made mention of avoiding fab work on a 07-08 conversion when according to all the research I've done it's mostly wiring thats the hard part since all the other 07-08 conversion parts like the front bumper, grill, headlights and hood are a straight bolt on deal or did I miss something ?!? Don't get it twisted this seems like a rather cost effective and labor reducing alternative to doing all that work in sourcing all those parts and all the time swapping them over not to mention the money you got me wanting one ... lol .

Thanks for the compliments, and to answer your questions, yes if you were to get the hood, lights and bumper from an 07 it will bolt on, when I mentioned fab work, I was referring to people who only got the front bumper and made it work with their original hoods and lights, so those are the two options, and my option like you said will be the cheaper of the 3 that will be available.

I'm definetly down for one, I have some cash put away. I was going to repaint my front bumper but now that you are working on this I'll wait.
I just hope you will round off some sharps edges around the fog light to many straight lines for my taste.

The lip isn't a big deal. The deal is having the bumper without changing anything else.

i saw a pic when you were building it ..it was the bumper by itself with no lip..so is it coming with the lip attached as one piece?
