Will these rims/rubber work for my Maxima?

I have a stock 2004 Maxima SE.. I need some winter tires for this bad boy.

I recently came across an ad for some winter tires and was wondering if they would work for my car.

These are the specs:

2-Rear Tires: 245/45/R18
2-Front Tires: 225/45/R18

Make: ASA
Model JH9

BackSpacing 5.90"
Bolt Pattern 5-114
Offset 35mm

I believe these are coming off a 350Z..

Thanks for your help.

Should work fine.

It's best to run a narrower tire for snow conditions though...

Aye

When it comes to tires, I am clueless.

So when you say smaller width for snow tires, then the fronts are more ideal (225) than the rears (245)?

I was concerned about the tires due TO the smaller size on the fronts. I didnt know if they should be the same size or not. Right now my car has 245/45/R18 all around.

I am being offered the rims and virtually new rubber for $1000 total.. sounds like a decent deal.. but like I say I really don't know much about tires/rims

Also, since reading from of the forums this morning, I read about a "shimmy" problem.. my car does not currently have that. Will putting new rims/tires on the car maybe GIVE it the shimmy's? Or has that problem sinec been deduced?

Thanks in advance.

narrower is usually better for snow tires, because they'll cut deeper through the snow and hopefully find the road down there. Instead of a wide tire that just sits on top of the snow

It also depends on the tires.

If they're the Bridgestone RE040's I'd pass...
