Those are nice finds. I don't see why they wouldn't fit. You should be asking about the o2 sensor locations on the headers. I know with the OBX headers guys where having tons of problems. I Like the headers but the exhaust tips seem a bit much for me. I mean I have quad 3in tips on mine and think those are huge. I can't image dual 4in tips. would sound nice I'm sure.

How was the install? There was a member on the other org that installed the same system and said the b pipe hung low and the tips were too close to the bumper.

o yea, he has the 6th gen and i have a b15 sentra.

no sound clips but i do have a pic:

no sound clips but it sounds good with cai and block off plate.

the y pipe did not hang low at all. honestly the only problem is that the passenger side muffler is a bit off angle.

I had a nismo catback on earlier this year and ended up selling it. I have a custom b pipe now but miss the exhaust sound. I was thinking of getting magnaflows but this catback system is cheaper than buying the two mufflers and having them installed.

I may have a solution to the drone but am going to test it first to see if it works. I hope it works because one of the reasons I got rid of my nismo is because my wife would complain about it when we drove my car.

Haha. It's Chris actually. . I picked up the system from ups last night. One of the tips came in a little out if shape but it wasn't worth refusing the package over. More than likely I'll be swapping the tips out for nicer ones. The tips it came with don't look very good. I'm going to check the system for any damage and take some pics today but probably won't get it on until the weekend.

Checked it out this morning. Overall the quality looks good.

There was a dent in one of the mufflers though. Hopefully it gets covered. I'm dealing with their customer service right now. They said to send a clearer picture. Does it look obvious to you guys?

If it doesn't get resolved, I'll probably paint the muffler face black after I get some better looking tips on there.

I may hold off on putting on the exhaust because of this dent. The more I look at it, the more it bothers me. I'm hoping to hear back from AEI's customer service and work out an exchange for another muffler.

If anyone who has this particular exhaust puts it on soon, can you take some pictures from the back at a few angles? If this dent isn't visible, I'll just put it on.

Thanks in advance guys!

I say that dent is high enough on the muffler to be seen after installation. I say let it slide.
That resonator on the other hand is pretty whimpy to me. Your shiite is gonna be loud

I may be interested after some sound clips get posted. You really can't beat a full cat back shipped to Hawaii for about $250.

So for those that have done the install...how's the drone at highway speeds? From the couple of clips I've heard it sounds failry mellow at idle with a nice deep note to it...is that about right?

Not exactly. The exhaust note is nice and deep but theres alot of drone. At highway speeds its tolerable but i know some ppl will not be able to handle it...

you will not be able to see that dent unless you are eye level with the muffler. there is less than a finger gap between the tip and the bumper, so the dent being above the tip makes it impossible to see

Not to change the subject of the ebay mufflers, and I'll delete if this is a repost. Saw a new cat back setup from a online merchant I frequently deal with (bought clutchline, blitz panel intake, misc other stuff from) I have had all positive experience with Upscale Automotive, as they usually ship my stuff seperate (depending on whats instock) and not charge me more for it.

http://www.upscaleautomotive.com/p-3...maxima-se.aspx

On their site it's listed as 6 Star Racing, but looks pretty identical to the ebay one. Just wonder if the resonator is the same size or slightly larger.

Thats the same as the rest of the "ebay" ones.

There all gonna be the same no matter where u buy them. They are all replica's of the Stillen catback. Thus they all have the same size resonator.

Stillen and Ebay exhaust both have drone issues. Nismo has none or almost no drone. Find a used Nismo catback or get the Altima V6 version and have it extended 1 inch (thats the best sounding setup for the 6th gen IMO)

I see.

Makes me wonder if I should test if it would lessen the droning noise by using my acetelyne torch/plasma cutter off the resonator on that ebay one, and using the old 240sx spares laying around by welding it on. Unless that has already been proven useless ?

It sucks that from going from a S14 240sx to a 05 maxima 6spd, there's not as much quality aftermarket support as yet for A34's.
