My Maxima got broken into !! Sub Stolen + Amp :(

My car was parked in the lot and someone broke into the trunk and stole the alpine 12" sub and the alpine amp . Lost $800.00

Its an 08 Maxima and the crazy thing is that no alrarm sounded? No scrtaches on the trunk like someone was trieng to get in? so i couldnt figure how how was that possible? It has factory keyless go.
So i went to a local car alarm shop and asked them if they could install anything better than the factory aralm? their answer was no .

They told me that there is no system exist that bypasses the factory system? is that right?

Does any of you guy's maxima with keyless go and has aftermarket security system?

Shop guys told me it wasnt possible as i have factory keyless system and as it would interfere with keyless start?

I have less knowledge when it comes to that kind of hard wiring stuff!

Thats not wood. Its concrete paver blocks. Without the concrete blocks how would they get the jack out when they lowered the car? Nothing courteous about it. Its ****ed up when someone steals your ****. Doesn't matter if you left it unlocked or if they broke a window. Or if you have wheel locks or not and parked somewhere with easy access.

That GT-R was done dirty, did they get in your car or are you positive that the trunk was opened?

It was probably some minor that will get a slap on the rist and made some cash in the process. This happened to me in hawaii with my civic. They had finger prints and everything and well if it is a minor without a criminal record then they will never catch them. going on 6 years now with no phone call. not expecting one either. I had about 400 cds and my subs/amp taken. Never again will I have that many cds in my car. Learned my lesson.

The title of this thread should be changed to " I left my car unlocked and someone took my stuff". Sorry for your loss anyway dude...been there before except mine really got broken into. The broke the tiny back window on the drivers side rear door, which was tinted so it doesnt fall apart or make a loud noise. My alarm malfunctioned and never went off. They took my Clarion indash tv, both headrest screens, subs, 2 amps, fresh new pair of nikes and some clothes that were in my trunk. My loss was their gain haha. Never bought another system since.

I feel for you man.

In my lifetime, I have these things stolen from my rides:
2 sets of PIAA foglights
4 pairs of subs
3 amps
2 head units
1 CD Changer
1 set of MB Quart components
2 sets of rims and tires

Now I roll stock in whatever I drive. It's a lot less headache, less glass to clean up, less police reports to fill out, and less time without a car because the it's being repaired. I remember feeling so violated whenever I would come back to my car on blocks, or with the trunk and doors wide open, or the window smashed. Worst was when the entire car was gone and eventually recovered stripped.

Don't expect to recover your stuff, just write it off as a loss and learn from this experience. There are ways to mod your sound system but be very discreet and not attract unwanted attention.

Thieves suck...but as long as there's demand, thieves will continue to supply...for this reason, I NEVER buy stuff stolen, no matter how great of a deal it is.

Sounds like you need a place with a garage and a better alarm system. My system is so sensitive if you knock on my window it will go off. That is how theives test your alarm system. Bump into the car and if the alarm doesn't go off, then take a chance. If it goes off then leave it alone unless it is so sensitive that people don't even pay attention anymore. You really have to find a happy medium.

How do you get foglights stolen from a 2004 Maxima? If they had time to get those out then they could have taken you engine.

Car alarms

Hey man I'm sorry for your loss. You could get a Viper or Clifford pager alarm with remote start and the bypass module. I have a very good hook-up on these products as well as all mobile audio/video products. Any brand any model including all the newest stuff. just shoot me a model number and i'll shoot you a price. I'm in Houston Texas. I should be able to get the Viper pager alram with LCD screen between 175 and 210 depending on how many I purchase. That goes for every body on this forum. let me know guys. You can contact me at sm1@iahouston.com

Oh my god, thats halarious^^^
1) Never bump where you park, or anywhere close to your destination. People will hear your system and follow you to get their hands on it. Showing off isnt worth losing your subs.
2) If they know what they are doing, bottom line is they will get your wheels if they want to. Wheel locks dont really deter someone thats done it before. Wheels are designed to be removed..bottom line. Locks more or less would just slow them down..possibly to the point of getting caught. But maybe not.
3) Window tint goes a long way, and wherever I park I put up my sunshade no matter what, they can still look through the windshield to scope out your car and see whats in it.
4) Always remember to lock your car.
