So dealership will cover this if under warranty still? I have an 07 with 22000 miles...

Mine did, I have 35,600 miles and they did it no questions asked.

Got it! Thanks. Anyone know where to get those pieces new cheaper then the $143 a piece at the dealer?? Just the back pieces, not entire trim.

oh god, we're beating the same dead horse here year after year. Here are your choices

a) Buff them out using polishing compound

b) Apply decals to cover them

c) Paint Your Strips

d) Replace them


e) sell your car with them and forget about this and other problems - for advanced users only

Why would do any of those myself if the dealer will take care of it?

My 05 I just bought has perfect chrome strips on both sides of the rear window, but the rest looks like dull brushed aluminum. My mom also has an 05 but it all looks like brushed aluminum.

Last I checked i was in 6th gen forum. There is no 6th gen in the world that would qualify for a 1 year-12,000 miles warranty and this is the warranty that applies to "cosmetics" and "adjustments"

If your dealer replaced them for you, say thank you, he was either extra nice or will rob you on something else in the very near future.
