I want to paint some interior pieces....your help please?

I have a silver 05 se with grey interior. I love the look of the interior however I feel it is sooo monotone. I want to remove the plastic center console pieces and paint them flat black. How do I remove these pieces? Has anyone done something similar? Pics, if so...Thanks

I painted most of my pieces in the car. I kept seeing the vinyl pieces you can buy on ebay to cover them and didn't like the types they had but liked the idea so I did exactly what you are wanting to do. Let me see if I can find my post of this or if not post some new pics up.

I just had all my SL wood pieces painted silver. And I painted some of the dash trims flat textured black last year. To get the drink holder pocket out I had to pretty much remove the entire center console, it's screwed in from the bottom. It was a pain but worth it...

Here's some new pics, nothing too exciting because now looks more like an SE which most members have anyways!! Except it's actual KY1 silver to match the outside of the car...

Why? Why not? The top screen is the rear view camera or video from the HU or IPOD. The middle is the HU/NAVI and the bottom is the info screen.
