My HID installed

Bought em' here on the group deal and I had em' installed a few days ago and I'm really diggin' this set up.
I was gonna buy the fogs at the same time but I was undecided on what color to get. It was suggested to me to go and buy the 3K or "amber" color but I want to buy the 6k color to match my head lights. My only concern is that the front will be too bright for the opposing traffic. So which would look good, 3K or 6K?

looks good man IMO if your trying to match the heads get the 6k without a doubt its not going to be too much for oncoming drivers. there making some of the new ford pickups with unbelievably bright fogs most of which brighter than the headlights ive talked to a few people with them and they say its stock, you should be fine. if it was me id be doing the 3k with lexus caps again my .2cents

Them 6000k's put out some nice white light. Matching the fog lights with the head lights looks good and all but when its foggy, raining, snowing its nice to have a lil yellow contrast from a quality 3000k bulb to light up the road directly in front of the car.

Drive with 6000k in the rain, then decide whether you want yellow fogs or not. In the rain, you won't be able to see if your 6000k HIDs are on.

Guys, maybe someone will be able to help me.
I bought H3 HID kit to replace factory fog lights on 2004 Maxima SE with factory HID.

The problem I'm having is that standard H3 has only single connector and it's being plugged in into negative terminal inside the light assembly. The positive connection seems to be hard wired inside the housing. At least I wasn't able to disconnect it.
The H3 HID bulb came with two connectors: red and black. The black will go into factory ground connection. The question is, where should I plug in the positive wire of the H3 HID.
Thanks in advance for any insight.

Go with the 3000k, they are much better. I have 6000k up top and 3000k down low. It looks so cool too.

Why not go the middle and get 4300? I want either 6k or 8k mains white/bluesish and do a yellow 4300. Thats what i am planning but have been very undecided. Mr. Gollum did you install them yourself? Any members here can help and uncertain, unsteady fellow members on basic installs?

Yes, some help and pictures will be really appreciated. I don't see a fog light swap for HIDs as plug-n-play. Or I got a wrong kit.
Once again, please help.

Finally did my fogs with the $49 HID kit from ebay. Spent about 3 hours in the garage, but the actual work time was about 1 hr. Install required some drilling and cutting, but nothing major. Found a write up on vqpower. Now my 5000k fogs are brighter than stock HID driving lights which are 4300K. No regrets.

Hey everyone...I'm from North Jersey. I'm looking to replace my Halogen bulbs(one just burnt out) with 5K or 6K HIDs. Can any of you guys point me in the right direction of a vendor out there that sells them at a quality price AND someone in the North Jersey area that can install them for me? I just looked up how much the Halogen replacement bulb costs and it just doesn't seem worth it to me to replace. Thanks for your help!

i guess i should of been more specific. i installed a HID headlight set. i know it works since i tried it on the drivers side. i figured it would be a fuse or a relay of some sort that blew since the running light inside the headlight comes on but not the actual head light.

The ballast may be bad or the power wires may be backwards, I deal with a lot of HID kits.

ive always wondered how non 3000k fogs actually performed in the fog. looks like you're better off going with 3000k for your fogs. . .

I'm not thrilled with the way my 4300k performs in the fog. Definitely not as good as regular halogen bulbs. I'd imagine it's much worse with 6000k.

I'm puzzled on your last pic. Why is it more amber than white? Is it just the fogs or the combo of the two? Are you still set up with the PIAA'S?
