Hello i'm new to Maxima.org i just install my Headlight on to my Non HID stock headlights, but it work? please help i took the full bumper and the headlight and put the ballast and bulb and it wont work please help thanks you so much.
3 things:
1. Please don't hijack other people's threads!
2. Rework your install to make sure you didn't miss something.
3. Go back to where you bought it and ask their advice.

J those pics are nice. ive seen the last one, but i never saw the other 2 after u installed em.
i might just be doing 3k instead of 8k when i do fogs. do you have any in-car shots with headlights and fogs on?
Thank you, why is it the 9006 if you dont mind me asking? Is that what you used?
Nalc is right, 9012 is just your bulb for your non-hid headlights, but the HID kit is 9006. And for your fog lights its H3. Good luck and if you got more questions, dont be affraid to ask or ask a seller from the group deals.

Do the mounting/locking tabs need to be trimmed? I have a bulb out (9012) and instead of spending the $50 to replace it I would rather upgrade to HID but I don't want a troublesome kit or the lack of high beams. Which kits have the halogen high beams? Not to knock on anyone but the last 10 pages or so of Operatic's group buy thread seems to involve lots of warranty issues. Hopefully linking to ebay is acceptable, does anyone know about this kit? Thanks for any advice.

You want to spend $150 on HID kit? Wow, you must be a baller. Honestly, I say go to the group deal or on post #51 is a link, is probably your best bet and you can save yourself at least $70. Good luck QwikKota

Oh yes, my friends call me GrayZ, I light cigars with benjamins. You must not have ever bought tires, lol. $150 on a $30k car is nothing. I think I am just going to get the 9011 upgrade bulbs from FineMotoring. May try the HID conversion at another time. I appreciate the info on saving the cash, I am not very knowledgeable on the subject at all and care more about longevity and reliability than output or tech upgrades. Got to pass inspection!

The $150 HID kit is identical to the $50 HID kit. Same parts, same manufacturer. They sell them at the range of prices because, hey, if some knucklehead wants to spend $150 for something he could get for $50, they're not gonna say no to 100 easy dollars.

Both are $22 for a single 9011 bulb. Use the 9011 instead of 9012 - it's brighter and better (and cheaper)
Hey, I resemble that remark! In my defense that ebay kit lists higher quality components and boasts a lifetime warranty. Either way, I doubt they are far from the cheap kits. See post above yours, I'm buying some 9011's from Max.

yup and you probably spend more on shipping defective parts to China than you do buying a brand new kit in the event that it stops working.
Higher quality components? Only difference is better packaging. The $150 kits have the nice "Xenon" labels, and come in a colorful cardboard box with foam cutouts. The $50 kits come unmarked in a brown cardboard box. Both come from the same factory. No OEM bulb or ballast manufacturer sells conversion kits, it's all chinese knockoffs.

So you are insinuating that the seller of the ebay ad is lying when they claim made in Japan bulbs and German sourced ballasts? Are they not marked? I'm not defending the company, just curious where you are getting your facts.
No legitimate company sells HID kits in the United States. They're illegal here, and there's steep fines for getting caught selling them. No real company is willing to take that risk. Chances are, they're a small LLC who can just close up shop if they get caught.
No 35w OEM HID setups can do 3,600 lumens with a 5,000 hour life. The best Philips, Osram, and GE can do is 3,200 lumens and maybe 2,000 hours. You're telling me that "Euro Effects" makes a product with better output and 2.5x as long life as the product made by the three largest lighting companies in the world?)
No legitimate HID setup uses those "AMP" quick connectors. They all use EMI/RFI shielded D2S or D1S connectors.
They have a patent for a shielded return wire? That's funny. Philips, Osram, and GE use a shielded return wire. You would think that if those 3 industry leaders used a technology that they didn't have a patent for, someone would notice?
They ramble on about how great their quality is, but provide no evidence besides a couple 100 pixel images of dubious certifications. Do they have specifications sheets? FMVSS 108 approval? ECE Regulation 37 approval? Photometric or radiometric testing results? Output spectra? Any detailed information or even close-up pictures?
Maybe it's just me, but I have a hard time believing a company that claims to make a significantly better product than the industry leaders, but which distributes through ebay as their primary retailer. They aren't even a power seller. They have 4 feedback. I have more ebay feedback than they do - at least I have a star next to my name. They are selling products that are illegal in this country, which is an obvious indication that they might not be legitimate. They're a LLC that is going to make a quick buck selling those $32 chinese kits for $150, then when the DOT comes knocking, they're going to close up "EuroEffects" and open up a new LLC called "JDM-Dezigns" or something stupid like that.
They claim to have designed their own custom ballasts, but their ballasts are obviously fake Hella Gen 3s. You can see just by looking at it. Different sticker, maybe, but otherwise the ballast is identical to the $50 kit.
Bought em' here on the group deal and I had em' installed a few days ago and I'm really diggin' this set up.
I was gonna buy the fogs at the same time but I was undecided on what color to get. It was suggested to me to go and buy the 3K or "amber" color but I want to buy the 6k color to match my head lights. My only concern is that the front will be too bright for the opposing traffic. So which would look good, 3K or 6K?
