Coryxavier's LED GUAGE 04-06 Mod

ok to everyone whos looked at my led mod ive done to my car. there was concern over the fact that thealliance 43 sold me his guage and i had not done my own but i did the rest of the my car. well the pictures show just the middle of my old guage done in blue. the diffuser plate i used needs to be thicker to spread the light of the hot spots but thats a small and easy issue.i only did the middle because i ran out of leds plus i dont want to waste my leds on a guage i really dont want. i also finshed my info screen as well to complete the mod. my offer still stands for anyone who wants to pay the economy sucks sale price of $250 plus shipping for the whole car. tack another member on the org. who can do the mod as well.

I like that a lot! Are you going to change your other two guages too?

Do you do this to other Max's too?

That looks really hott. I like that and was thinking about getting this done to my interior. Looks cleans. Do you only have blue and white LED's?? If not, what other colors do you have or can you order? Also, can you still drive your car with all these parts being disconnected and taken apart? How fast is the turnaround time to get everything back?

your car will work just fine without the parts. i could have the parts in the mail the very next day after i get them. you can do them in red yellow green white and blue. your choice. if someone wants me to finish the guage ill sell it to them for 100 plus shipping but it has 121,018 on it.

How hard is it to move the info screen down to the bottom. Are the cables long enough?
I was thinking of getting a double Din kit for my 05 Max...there are a few companies out there that make the dash trim kits. I would prefer moving the info screen down and putting my DVD screen at the top. Since I would like to move it down....how difficult is it to swap the color at the same time? Any instructions available on this? I did an advanced search on our forum under 6th gens and there is not much write up on this.

I have to tell you thats the way it should have looked from the factory, I was wondering if you could get the led's and how much it would be plus shipping and I will change them.

i pretty much left this mod up too alliance43 because people who said they wanted it never came thru and i was stuck with leds. good thing the sender took them back with a 10% restocking fee. you can buy the leds on ebay. for around $100.00 you can buy the leds that will do your complete car. there are called plcc2 , plcc4 and 8506 leds or 0603 which are the same. you'll also have to buy a diffuser plate 1.5mm thick too get rid of hot spots in the guage cluster if you own the 04-06 model. the 07-08 already have one you can reuse. just buy 100 leds of each kind and start soldering the old ones out. the rear doors will need a 420ohm resistor modded to them because of higher voltage sent to them. if i were to do it for you i would require a $25 dollar deposit toward the $250.00 plus shipping ill charge. search alliance43 i think hes charging 450 to 500 but he has leds in stock plus hes done more than anyone else on this modd

for the double din kit get the metra because the scorche kit is garbage. the cables are long enough to pull the screen to the bottom. its just a little tight but it will reach. now the color swap will take a few hours if you just want to do the info screen only. you'll need 20 or 30 plcc4 leds. ebay has them for 30 or 40 shipped. i going to say to get 30 of them but im leaning with that you will only use 20 of the leds but you will be glad for the extra because these leds are really small
