Changing Caliper w/out upgrading to big brake kit

hmm, is this possible?
My next little project is to paint my caliper, I think I got addicted when I painted my 06 Sonata's so now I hate that my other car's caliper looks plain and cr@appy.

I was thinking, while I am at it (and I searched but didn't really find an answer on the forum): is it possible to just change the caliper (preferably to one is a little bit bigger) but keeping stock pistons and everything else?
My initial thought is 'no' but I'll go ahead and ask anyways before I take my wheels off, do all this stuff and find out later I could have done it.

btw, has anyone used the G2 paint caliper kit gold color? I am wondering if the "gold" color on their kit is pretty close to a spirited bronze color.
And would that look ok on my silver max? Just trying to get some opinions. I think I have seen silver alot on here, but I am leaning towards the bronze to stand out a little

i would stick with dupli color caliper kit. comes with everything and pretty good price. i painted mine red and hate it now. it looks nice bc it stands out but i get every single ricer asking me if i have brembos so im jus gunna spray it black. wouldnt draw attention to them unless they are a BBK.
oh and search for brakes.tons of theads on upgrades

Actually that one I used for my Sonata is duplicolor. The G2 comes with everything as well, I am just worried that this cheaper kit might flake in the long run, from whatI heard, G2 doesn't flake at all.

lol you're going to change it to black b/c some guys ask you questions about your brakes?

Ok, Ill do the search...I actually do not want to upgrade, I simply want to change the calipers...which I am not sure if there is any aftermarket calipers available out there keeping everything else the same.

You sound like a candidate for the 300ZX brake conversion. It uses the calipers from a 300ZX but keeps stock rotors. You buy an adapter and stainless steel brake lines from Matt Blehm of Blehmco. If you get the calipers from a 300ZX twin turbo, they will be much lighter weight because they are aluminum.

is that caliper in the pic you posted there the 300ZX ones?
If so, this is what I was aiming to do.

I suspect I would also need to get the actual caliper bridge and replace that too. Whatever they call it, caliper post, bridge, or pillar...dunno what name is the correct one

My stock 05 18" rims do not fit, but only barely. The actually just graze the raised NISSAN lettering. Nothing a little spacing wouldnt cure. I dunno bout 08 rims though.

The 300zx calipers bolt up to an adaptor which them bolts to the strut. I got mine from Matt Blehm from Blehmco. It uses the stock Maxima rotor. I also got stainless steel lines too.
