By the time this thing comes out we will all be able to buy one, because the recession/depression will be over.......
LOL
It's just too bad for them being a new company/division of a bigger company, not having enough people working on the projects now... and with SEMA coming up too.
I just ordered mine from cattman...including shipping, he is the cheapest I came across. z1 motorsports or whatever it is called sells them also, and you can search around on my350z and there are a few vendors on there selling them too.
do a better search next time noob

you know damn well cattman does not update his site..
you need to call him
LOL Yeah... so true!
Ok... got an email from Jason:

xxxx,
They are on schedule for SEMA so I think we should have everything by next week! Not sure if we will have time to put one together for you before SEMA but I will check, definitely first thing after. We'll keep you updated.
Thanks
Jason
What was that about patience? lol It's coming people... really, it is!
NEW! R2C replacement filters fit all JWT POP intakes and are a significant improvement over the original oiled cotton filter. The advanced R2C filter media provides better airflow and MUCH better engine protection than oiled cotton filters, and they’re easily cleaned without damage (never clean an oiled cotton filter). Read about the advantages at the R2C site HERE. Introductory price $64.99
he has different types.. one that fits the popcharger with the venturi blah blah.. and one that is a generic, if you will 3" outlet..and there might have been another..
Nothing much happens in this industry leading up to the SEMA show (1st week of November). More likely to see meaningful progress afterwards.

Cattmobile FOR SALE: [pics here] 02 6M Maxima SE w/ CP intake, headers/y-pipe, FastCat, Catback, short shift kit, coilovers, FSTB, Progress RSB, NEW 245.45.18 Toyo Proxes4 tires on perfect 18x8 ROH DriftRs, 243whp, only 59k miles and never abused (true). Price reduced to $9999!
Glad to hear about the progress, I'm looking forward to seeing the final product.
When a company isn't familiar with the Maxima market (and sometimes when it is!), it seems like a big risk to develop and tool-up a new part for the Maxima because its impossible to predict how well they'll sell. They're holding their breaths a bit at R2C to see how this A34 project turns out, so you've got to give them credit for taking a chance with this.
When most companies would pass in favor of picking lower-hanging fruit, R2C seems to be taking this up largely on the strength of the forum-based push to make it happen, so good on R2C and good on Oolatec and the Maxima collective.

Yeah I ran into them very early this year at a local car meet (Chicago Z) and talked to them. Took awhile for the ball to get rolling but it's all going to come together real soon...
I hope their claims will stay true, and that dyno wasn't a fluke of sorts. I have my filter on order with brian, but in my research and readings about the r2c they are not highly regarded in the 350z community and that worried me a bit. Oh well, it is ordered and I hope for the best

How will this compare to the K&N short ram. Basically the same thing I guess? I've always like the idea of the short ram setups over the CAI's. Black chrome would look very very nice as opposed to the textured flat black of the K&N.
Short rams, as a design category, definitely have their plusses. However, they have one BIG potential drawback - excessive turbulance over the MAF hotwire, which is a power-robbing, gas mileage-reducing issue no matter how you look at it.
Whether a short ram intake design is subject to this problem depends entirely on whether or not there is an effective velocity stack incorporated in the base of the filter.
For example, the cast aluminum base of the JWT POP Charger intake is an excellent velocity stack because JWT profiles them specifically for the engine they go with, so that's why we're combining it with the R2C filter to create the "new" hybrid intake we're selling. I've seen filters (the type with a 3" neck) that are molded with sort of a velocity stack in the base, but the quality of these designs is pretty variable, and not all are true velocity stacks.
BTW, I have no doubt that the R2C intake design will include a velocity stack.

So i take it most everyone gets a cai for the noise..and that's it.
I dont have a cai but im wondering why people get it if a few loose torque ..?
Too many factors can effect performance. Is the CAI the only mod in the car? What brand CAI/car/etc.?
I know for the Maxima, there is a bit of low-end loss with a CAI. In our case, a short-ram with a heat shield (R2c/Stillen also, I believe) is the best of both worlds.
It will be the best option available for any maxima regardless. For Automatics this is the best option, end of story. For manuals it should be the best as well- so long as the horsepower claims are true- i have no reason to believe they won't be.
