C-mod grills anyone?

I am in need of a grill to replace my damaged Trenz grill and I really like the Active Tuning style. However it seems that due to lack of predictable inventory I might have to go with a back up plan. Ive read that the C-mod 'alternative' actually fits better along the hood line, and since it is less expensive I think this is a good option.

Does anyone have any experience with either of the few resellers out there of the C-mod or grills that are nearly identical to the AT?

Bought mine from this seller from ebay. It's the same grille. For what I remember it only took a week to arrive from HoNg KoNg.

Same here. I ordered mine early last week when I saw 2LEET4U and a few others with it. It looks ten times better than the OEM grill! Hopefully it will come soon.

Thanks to all whove posted. Where did you guys order from? I'd really rather not drive around with a bent **** grill for 2-3 weeks...

Same seller as in Gollum67's posted ebay link. The seller's name is jdmparts08. He's charging a little more for the 04-06 model. The 07-08 version is like 20 bucks cheaper

i bought the same one like a month and a half ago, but it took like 3 weeks for it to get to me( thats the only downfall), but it fits like a glove and the lines fit perfectly with the hood on my 04 se, i thought it was worth it, and for another $30 u can buy a NISMO badge or something and stick it on there and noone will ever know it only cost like $100

This dude is selling for $139 vs $109 with a "best offer" options. I was thinking of offering him less than the $109 by the JDM seller. Shipping looks the same. $45.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=140311586086

Offer of $80 automatically declined.

Unbelievable!! This guy has been raising his price consistently. He's up to $149 buy it now. It's crazy because this is a $99 item. I felt robbed when I ordered for $129 a week ago.

I also ordered mine from ebay, but was a little unhappy with it. I didnt mine that I had to drill the holes on top, but our 6th gen factory grill had clips to snapin the bottom of the grill, this mes grill did not have clips or a way to hold the bottom of the grill in place...I actually drilled 2 small holes in the bottom of the grill and thread some thin wire through the grill and the clip holder attached to the car, to keep the bottom tight fi..ghetto rigged! but works
(dont pay attention to the tag I need t cut off haha)

So basically $96 could have out of your pocket plus shipping even though he accepted $110 offer.

Choi, the home depot mesh looks real good man. It looks better becuase it is more finely woven. Are you going to paint the grill trim or leave it as is?

If I end up going this route, I would paint mine body color and dip that mesh in chrome!

Haha alright.

1) Bid for 100 shipped.
2) Get denied and bid for 105 shipped
3) Well you get the idea....Bid until he bites...and then wait about a week and a half for it to arrive from China
4) Run over to Home Depot and ask an associate where the Premium Hinged Gutter Guard is located. (It will come in silver only. You will have to also get paint and black it out yourself)
5) Buy it
6) Now that you're home and settled, flip the Ebay grille over and locate the five (IIRC) tabs that are holding the mesh down. Remove
7) Take the HD grille and remove the two hinges with needle nose plyers.
8) Toss that crap and line up the HD mesh and try to get a mental picture of how to trim the HD mesh. Or if you'd like you can get a sharpie and outline it.
9) Using wire cutters/scissors/whatever cuts, cut it to fit and attach.
10) Insert the tab into one of the many holes and secure tightly, but don't force the tab too much or you may break it..(cheap/weak metal...didn't happen to me, but use discretion)
11) Install finished product!

Advice: May want to wear gloves while handling the HD mesh, I noticed that they left the outsides very sharp...they're like thorns from hell. you'll see what I mean when you pick it up..didn't have my problem when I made one for my maxima....
