It looks good...I had a indash unit in my last car and I liked it alot...I was thinking of putting something in this car....my question is why does everybody put 2 monitors in the dash? If I did it I would like to have my dvd unit where the info screen is and relocate the info screen to where the cd and tape slots are...would this work? Or is there something I am missing?

this setup is really nice and clean. I wish I had the funds to accomplish a setup like you have. Unfortunatly I had to take a cheaper route in my installation setup, at least for now. Looks great...

Metra kit (ebay) = $40 (cut the pocket out to make it a double din 30 mins)
Double din nav/dvd player = $300-$3000
Nesa 7" LCD screen = $140
Relocating info screen = $0 (10 mins)
Profesional install = $200 (al & eds)
The least you would pay with all this would be around $700 with a budget double din dvd player. If you can install it yourself, or know someone who can, you can save yourself the 200 plus install. I ended up paying around a little over $850. My alpine IVA w203 Nve-p1 was the biggest expense at $650.

You need also PAC-SWIX to make your steering controls work with your new head unit and if your car has the stock Bose system, you'll have to buy the ROEM-NIS2!
More info here - http://www.pac-audio.com/default.asp
p.s. don't forget to post pics of the new install
too_Da_MAX: great work!

I have a question about the Nesa 7" screen. Did you have to trim down the two side black panels for it to fit in properly or is it a 1:1 fit for the relocated screen? Just curious cuz I had my Pioneer D3 recently installed without the upper screen relocated. The guy told me he would have to trim the sides of the black plastic way down to accomidate the screens wider size. So now I have a Nesa 7" just sitting in a box in the back of my closet .Also, I was told that the info screen's wiring is pretty short and extender cables might have to be used to run it down to the bottom, is ths true?

That looks hott!!!! I'm looking into getting a carputer. I'm wishing and hoping that I can get that soon and hopefully I can find a 6-disc in-dash cd player to replace the stock one with... That thing is hott though, I looked at it on youtube the other night and it does alot... Alpine is a good name!

great job. i tried to do something like what you've done, but my 07 max do not have enough space to put oem console as well as aftermarket 7" dvd nav. i took my oem boss console out and installed 7" dvd nav and i couldn't use my bluetooth mode, temp screen, DTE, etc... so i had to put oem back.
btw, looks awesome

if you are talking about my nesa screen that is now ontop. No, it plays video, or you can put backgrounds like i have on mine (nissan logo, and alpine logo)

I got mine on ebay for about 140. Actually i think that model is now discontinued.
