How many miles does your max have now

Wow, sorry to hear that. We bought ours brand new in Oct 2005 as well. The Bose amp was replaced under warranty at 60,000 miles, we had the automatic transmission solenoids replaced at 94,000, both cam position sensors were replaced somewhere around 115,000 and it is on it's 3rd battery. The chrome started flaking off of the OEM wheels so bad that they wouldn't hold air so it got new wheels at about 120,000. Otherwise mostly normal maintenance stuff: Tires, brakes, fluids, wiper blades, etc. Currently at 154,000 miles and going strong. We took it on 1,000 and 4,000 mile road trips this summer as well as our annual vacation to the coast. I can't really complain about it so far and am hoping to get 200,000 relatively trouble free miles out of it.

I just bought a 2007 in June, with 130,000 miles. I felt comfortable buying it because it came with an extended warranty of 3 years or 36,000 miles on engine and transmission.

2004 gen 6 162,000, purchased in 2010 with 88k on it still rolling strong, was going to trade it in.... Stealerships won't pay much for it, so I am showing it some renewed TLC replacing motor mounts soon. Also repainting the interior trim pieces and renewing the leather steering wheel.

06 maxima with about 99k miles. Recently local Nissan dealership fixed my timing chain, 2 motor mounts, driver window motor, and trunk support. I have a extended warranty so only cost me $200 bc of my deductible! Best car ever owned!!

350,700 km / 217,900 miles. Runs fine except after starting it more than once in a day it will take about 2-3 seconds to fire, and at red lights it bogs and bumps a little bit. Would raising my idle to 1000 rpm help the bogging?

Check out your crankshaft and camshaft sensors.

300,500KM or basically 187,000Mi on our 2006 Maxima. Original owner, bought straight from the dealer. Just had the infamous timing chain rattling repaired from a dealership tech who also does work at home on the side.
Also, we used to have a 1991 Maxima that we took to 450,000KM or about 280,000Mi but at that point the odometer/speedometer stopped working. We gave that car away to another family member who just recently let the car move on to Maxima heaven. He still did not repair the odometer and he drove it for an additional 8 years. So I would say that vehicle had an additional 200,000km or so put on it since the odometer failed!

06 Maxima SL
Just hit 171K yesterday. Bought used from CarMax in 2009 with 30K on the clock. Just replaced bank 2 catalytic converter, good aftermarket deal, thanks to the good suggestions on this valuable forum! Did cam sensors few years back, and routine maintenance. After I read about some tranny issues, I've kept up with changing fluid every 30K. Very happy with this car. My previous car was 1997 Maxima GLE that had 262,000 when I sold it. These engines are bullet-proof!
