I think my set up wpuld work great. I have Progress springs all around and I have KYB AGX adjustable shocks in back. If you know ur carrying more people, you can stiffen the settings. I also have Koni adjustables up front but they are not made any more.

You can get KYB GR2 which are a bit stiffer but just non-adjustable.

I installed Tein Basic coilovers and I LOVE MY RIDE!! at one point I was going to trade my car in because i DESPISED how it handled. Then one day I had an ephinany and realized I bought this car b/c of its VQ, bubble butt look and looks great from profile view. I just hated its handling so I went and found this forum. Best thing i ever did was keep my car and changing my suspension. Handles like a dream now. ugh, good for driving bad for bank account. =)

i too have been lookin at this setup but just curious if u could go back and save up a lil more would you buy the ssp instead of the basic setup?

For what its worth, I don't really intend on tracking/racing my car, my boy (honda head) told me if i was looking to tighten my suspension and lower he'd reccomend basic. I mean if you are talking about shelling about an additional 200 bucks for SS that wasnt a concern. I just didnt see any benefit to getting a higher end model when basic was doing everything i needed.

I really don't know the difference b/w the two either. I do know that my basic is serving its purpose and gave me a newfound love for driving my maxi. I hated that damn stock SL suspension ugh!

I replaced my KYB GR2 with the Koni yellow sport inserts 8641-1439 - made for 00-05 Infiniti I30/I35 (front).

You have to gut out the existing OEM struts (cut the top and drill hole at bottom) and drop in the insert. Not that hard if you are mecanically inclined and download a few documents from Koni.

I paid $313 and had to buy a pair of OEM strut. Insert may not fit in KYB.
