Trunk lid noise....
Does anyone have a slight thump noise from the rear of the car. I think it is the trunk lid b/c the left side is slightly higher than the right side. Maybe a difference of a centimeter. However, I remember see last year something about the rear parcel shelf/finisher making noise in certain maximas. I don't remember if it was the maximas with or without the Bose system. I don't have the Bose or any other audio equipment.
The car is completely stock except for the KYB/Eibach suspension kit. The noise started about 2 months after lowering the car and let me tell you this noise is extremely embarrassing because the ride is quiet and smooth. I'm having trouble determining exactly if the noise is isolated on one side or both. Anyone else have any opinions/experiences? Any help is appreciated.

There is a TSB for that annoying *** rattling/vibration that comes from the rear deck lid.
I have the bose system and I thought one of my speakers was blown it sounds so bad. Now I notice it over some of the bigger bumps in the road, sounds terrible. I'm taking care of it this weekend.

Could be the tsb, but 1st thing i would do is empty out car/trunk completely and take car for a drive, best to have someone else drive while your in the backseat trying to listen and pin point where its coming from. See if it only happens with radio on, drive with rear seats laying flat. If your trunk is misaligned its not that hard a fix, but if that's not the noise and it doesn't bother you then it can be left alone. Check that the lifts on the trunk aren't loose, and that there is no play in the trunk when its closed. Is the noise only when you hit a bump or all the time? Try those and see what the outcome is or if you can at least narrow it down to an area, then post back.
