Thats a really good job to get an idea of how it would look.

whats the reason for your post? What does what you said have to do w/ ANYTHING? is there a reason to be negative? Are you having a bad day there in boston ?

If you read the post you will see that there IS a mold that was used from a RS4... This thread/idea was just started a few days ago... give it time and positive reinforcement !

Go back to your side of the forum if you have nothing USEFUL to say

I would do it if it was not carbon fiber. I think the price is too high. dropping the carbon fiber might make it cheaper to produce and you might get more people to jump on board. Carbon fiber matches some of you cars so i think that limits the interest too.

For example it would match great with fastmax's car but wouldn't on mine.

very true, it wouldn't look good on a red maxima.

create with the option to paint.

CF and ABS would need 2 different molds. The cost of CF is much higher but I believe the mold is cheaper to make. Can Max2damax confirm this? If that's the case then I'll paint the CF.

when you say abs, you mean urethane right?, if so yes molds for such materials are really expensive, now if I make a mold for CF, the same mold can be used for Duraflex, which is a much cheaper option.

Sounds like CF/Duraflex wins. When?

still trying to decide on what project I need to jump into, its either this the 07+ lip or the 07+ gtr front bumper. I'll do more shops for the lips see which one wins.

I don't know if you guys saw the Houston meet pics, Illinoize brought with him a working model of a front lip. He still has to make refinments but from what I saw he doesn't have to do much. We tried it on an earlier model 6th gen and as you can see by the third pic the lip has to be a total new beast in order for it to fit properly

that almost looks to un-aggressiv to stockish(i know i know i shouldn't talk)...maybe if you made the holes a lil bigger and have it jet out more? either way it's nice to see someone coming to the table and doing something.

free advice: don't make it out of CF. it'll crack 10x easier and decrease the cost.

I would be down for CF still... The hood wasnt cheap and i wouldnt expect the lip to be either, but i still want it...

i would also want the CF trunk sometimes soon, but lets not get tooooo far ahead LOL..

To the poster above, that lip looks great... !! Good work... keep us posted and final info and price... maybe edgar can work off that...

Either way, its in the works which is good to see... Like Kof said... lets get this thing going and completed!!!

Looks liks lip would just have to be extended a bit higher to cover the the mouth ( black ugly insert that houses turn lights)

I have spent many months/days/hours/hours wondering how the lip would look on a early 6th gen. thank you for posting a pic ( 3rd pic )

yes more work is needed and if everyone is onboard to modify to build it, i'm down with a donation.

Looks good for the 07+, a bit bulky for 04-06. How much lower than bumper?

for us 6th genners remember that in buying a lip you gotta get it painted, so to those who dont like the "black" part on the bumper just get it painted when you put the grill on.

problem solved

im gonna do that myself.

Got bored so worked on these.

Here's a Mugen style lip shopped on my car.

I like the Stillen lip just for the fact that it covers most of the bottom opening of the bumper, but I tried to shop all the things I don't like about it. For one, I don't really like the part behind the corner lights. I'd rather it be close to the bumper like in the first pic (i.e. no vents). I also don't like the very front of the lip, so I just filled it in. The last thing is the slope of the grill. Kinda hard to see but I made the slope of the grill steeper in the last pic. Anyways, here are some pics.

They need to extend the side piece out just a little more just for a little of of an aggressive look and not something that is extension of the stock lines.

I am talking about the front right and left sides of the lip need to protrude out a little more.
