Yes, I believe the reflash is very ECU specific, down to to certain option packages and you current A/F reading. Nice looking car, good mods, you don't ever take it to the track? Who tracks their 6th Gen maxima?

I called about this b/c I was considering them for tuning when Cattman's headers go on my max and was told they can't provide a ecu reflash b/c i'm an Auto.........sucks for me.

I emailed them to see about reprogramming the ecu to accommodate the header install but I havent heard back

They can still do it, but the A34's torque converter limits the tune. You would still get the rev increase, throttle opening, speed limiter removal and increase A/F.

Didn't Tek-Niq have his ECU flashed? I thought he was an auto.

Most of the flashes were auto and the results were reasonable. Cant remember the dyno numbers. The only issue I have with this is that is the program truly custom towards your setup based on your runfiles and your bolt ons. I could never get clear answers from Eddie

Most have gone with the theory that is set up to your runfile. ( I think they even ask them to be sent with your ECU). Flash is pretty decent mod, I'm thinking of giving it a shot next spring, swap it out for my Apexi SAFCII. See if there is a difference.

I don't think I would need both of them.

well i already sent my ecu out and now im debating weather or not to get a refund and go with utec. NIZMO just got a utec on his 6th gen i think. thanks for the comment and no i havent taken the car to the track yet i want to be fully tuned before i do that. im currently using a safc2 and after hearing about the self learn thing on our cars i am scared to see my numbers...i think ill just go with the utec

I spoke toTechnosquare awhile backand they told me they rather reflash a manual car ecu and not an auto because the auto ECU adjusts itself after awhile something about the auto trani with a rev control module,as forthe manual there is no control of its revs so they wouldnt recomend it. Also a freind a while back did it and it felt the same after a while. YO Phil Holla..

Here is a dyno with just TS F-spec and Fujita CAI

The let off a few hundred RPM early each time, so I'm sure I could have gotten an easy few more.

hi guys i am looking to install apexi safc or neo afc into my maxima but i can't find any ecu pinout diagram or instruction for my maxima 06 j31 model. can anyone help about it. also can anyone tel me will nissan altima header fit on my maxima because they share the same engine. thankyou

having your ecu reflashed is pointless if it's just going to relearn itself. TS should be able to lock the ecu from being reset. Can someone explain this UTEC 350z emu that is talked about? I don't remember reading about anyone installing this in their 6th gen.

its a piggy back system thats PnP

Theres also the F-con and the all might HKS V-Con that I may switch over.

So far the UTEC is doing its job

How are you tuning the UTEC? I mean do you take it to a dyno and they tune it for you? Can you use a program on your computer and data link to the UTEC to create Maps? I am thinking about doing this.

Laptop , TurboXS website has some base maps but you can adjust them according to your mods.

Aaron NWP I belive is using this setup as well as Jime.

Altho they are 3rd and 4th geners but VQ, if you search a bit more under the Turbo or All motor you will see quite a few members with them.

I just happen to be the first on a A34

DAAAAAAAAAAANG I don't be hardly understandin werrds now, WTH I'm waiting on my ecu reflash from technosquare, should get it by wednesday, had it previously reflashed by JET and I didn't really notice a difference other than my Gas milage dropping and inside of my Tailpipes turned black after a drive to the Grocery Store, Yes i checked the Compression, and Jime helped me figure out that it wasn't the knock sensor @ Maxus 09.
I have the same mods as Jaypee except my UIM isn't ported and i didn't have the TECHNOSQUARE reflash, I'm hoping it takes care of my A/F because it is running way to damn rich, and Jime said it's probably retarding the Timing back. Asked to have the timing advanced to 17 degrees and rev limiter set to 7100rpm, hope it don't blow up MY BRO MAX CAMSHAFT

As far as the G/Zs go (and probably maximas):

It's the piggy backs like the UTEC that tend to go back to their oem programming after time. As it's not reflashing the oem software.

Reflashes from TS UpRev (if it was available) actually rewrites the oem software. It cannot "revert" back to the oem. The oem flash doesn't exist.

yea. i was first heard about technosquare like 1 or 2 years ago. my bro was use 2k2 maxima upgrade ts ecu. he was buy a breakfast of food by gas station. then he was driving to his work. he hear his car have a problem of engine then get blow up. he was mad at me cuz i was make he get ts ecu to his car.
