Radio Reception!

Does anyone else have bad reception in the car? I live in SoCal and yea i understand there are spots because of the mountains that i will get poor reception but mine really sucks! When im in other peoples cars everyone else seems to pick up the stations fine, but mine just isn't kickin it!....any ideas? I went to Fry's to see if maybe there was some kind of booster that i could get but they said no! Guess i might just have to switch to Satelitte (sp)

The music is very static'y on some stations. When you play the music louder you can hear that the quality is bad. It's as if your music is only 85-90% quality and the "peaks" are missing.
