geezz... lookin at your guys' filters got me wondering how mine would look like. My car is an 04 and has 70K... and I doubt the old owner ever changed the filter. I did the 71K service and it didn't have that on the list of things to do... but it's listed on the 75K service. The filter change is on my list of the 75K service, but now I think I should change it soon and not wait till then LOL.

sheesh i guess houston's air must suck compared to some of you guys. mine was just filthy...guess the only good thing was that it was still intact and not missing a piece like SteadyC's filter.

I'm thinking it flows into the filter from the top down based on the amount of debris sitting on most of them.

I changed mine back in December and I lost one of the pin hinges that holds the glove box, do anyone know where to find these replacement hinges for a 04 Max?

Actually the manual says you can wash it in luke warm water and detergent and let air dry, so unless the filter is in really bad shape theres no need to spend money. I wash mine with a little bit of chlorine and after it dries I spray it with a heavy dose of lysol, the car smells like a dentist office for a couple of days but that will prevent any weird odors from devoloping.

straight out of my glove box , i bought the filter from advance auto , when and picked it up the next day since they didn't have it in stock and swapped it out right in the parking lot. I honestly wish it was fabricated , that's embarassing lol
