GAS miser !

So I was driving on my 14 mile stint from my parents house this morning back to my apt. and I did a little experiment !

I reset the ave mpg computer setting and did 4 miles at 60mph
~got a reading back of 33.4 mpg !

then I took it another step and decreased my speed in the city zone to 50mph. again reset the mpg screen and waited another 4 miles.
~got a reading back of 38.8 !

now I know this is an ave based on a certain amt of time and then computed somehow blah blah... but I think those numbers are amazing and deserve posting on here.

Of course keep in mind I did wash and wax my car while I was at my parents so maybe that had something to do with blasting thru the air like an airfoil

So if you slow down you use less fuel?? Hmmm I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest that EVERYONE knows that already.

WOW I still am yet to reset my fuel eco screen still says 17 MPG evertime I check it. Maybe I should reset it ans see what it says I accually get?? 38 MPG holy crap.. Looks like a 4 Cyl Civic.. LOL
