Stero Quality

I have a 2004 Nissan Maxima SE with the Bose sound system, and my CD and Cassette quality is fine, but my radio quality is fuzzy, almost like my speakers sound blown (but they arent).... could it be the HU, FM Output... what???

My reception is fine (I get every channel), it's just not crisp, clear sounding...

Where do you live in NY? I live in Brooklyn and have no problems with the radio. I only listen to 2 stations on FM. 95% of the time I use my XM radio.

Radio reception has sucked at times for me too, my 97 max bose was way better... you learn to live with it. I got a Ipod hook up and use that a lot. Be thank full your cd player hasn't started acting up like so many 6th gen's have.

I live/work in the Chicago area and the closer to the city I am, its good. On the highway, good. I've noticed sometimes it cuts out for no apparent reason, almost like a cd skippin' or the way my old xm radio did around tall/congested buildings. It is radio so sound quality is what it is.

My problem is the ever rattling rear deck...

There's an easy fix for that...

Definitely on my list of to-do's. Just a little worried about getting it all apart and back together. I know people have mentioned a tough time with the rear seat belts. Haven't torn a car apart since my '89 Jeep Wrangler.
