A/M UDP Belts already wearing out???

Whats up guys!!

Sorry ive been in and out of the forums here. Thanks to Ramberg... Ive been on the NYCMax a lot!! LOL!!!

But anyway I need you guys help.... recently I noticed after starting my beast of a family sedan... that the famous belt sound we all are familiar with has shown up.

But sometimes I can hear it, and sometimes I cannot??

Before I go any further... I was just wondering if any of you guys have ever had any issues with your A/M belts for the Unorthodox UDP. If not then I can start looking for the only OEM belt still down there. Thanks homies!!

I have that problem and as soon as I have a chance I will change them. You cannot use the OEM belts. Don't change them yet because I was told it could be the AC compresser. I will change the belts and see if the problem is solved.

Interesting, I do have more of a whistle/squeaking when the A/C kicks on. I am using the UR S/C pulley with stock belts.

I have had a belt squeal from day one. I tried tightening but nothing seems to help.

I had attributed it to the NWP spacers but it really only kicks in (as far I can tell) once the AC comes on and I'm idling.

Was the correct torque applied to the bolt holding the UDP? Not enough torque may keep the pulley out a bit. I have no belt noise from my Cosmoracing pulley.

I was told it might be the clutch. It only makes the noise when I turn the ac on than it goes away in a couple of minutes. I have the Gates belts installed.

Roger that Mark....

I was just worried that one day I drive and then... snap!

Do you think that could happen?

Which UDP are you running? And which belts?

I don't have any aftermarket pulley, just regular OEM Nissan belts, changed after 50k cause they dry out and squeak
