So long everyone
Traded the Maxima in for an 08 Altima 3.5SL Dark Slate/Charcoal Leather. This group has been a wealth on great information. Now I just have to find an Altima site as good as this one. I loved the Maxima but when it came time to replace it I just couldnt get a price on the new maxima down where I
wanted in. Can't complain about the Altima though, rides nice, just going to take a while to get used to the CVT. Feels very weird at first.
Anyway, so long guys and gals. I'll stop in to see whats going on.

good luck man, and may you drive it in good health. there are def some alti forums- can't say if they're as good as this, but who knows?
The alti 3.5 is a great car w/ much bang for $, so feel confident you made a good choice. Plus, you got a sweet color combo, my personal fave. BTW, my Murano's CVT did take a lil getting used to, but I love it now, esp the midrange punch on the h-way. Take care!

So whats the story, end of lease, transmission going out, you have to perform some maintenance and it's easier to buy a new car then get get some minor stuff done
Whatever it may be good luck with the Altima and nissanclub.com is where Altima owners go at least now you can hate on 2.5's

You've got to be $hitting me bro. The 6th gen has possibly the worst front end of ALL TIME! The 7th gen's are friggn' SICK!!!

Actually the 6.5 gens impressed me quite a bit with the subtle yet stand-out changes. The grill alone was a HUGE improvement as was the refined rear bumper with a nice edge and cleaner exhaust outlets. So no, I'll exclude the 6.5's from my comment.

That what's so baffeling about the '09 Max front end. Nissan corrects the looks of the 6G with the re-worked 6.5G. And then they revert back to building Maximas with botched front ends. I don't know what is worse looking, a 6G or 7G. Probably a 6G, but the 7G ain't far behind.

I couldn't disagree more. Looks of a front end are certainly a personal preference type thing and my friend, I believe your preference of not liking the new 7gen will be in the minority. Also, some folks just don't like CHANGE. I bet it will grow on you. Heck, I thought the 6th gen's were HIDEOUS when I first saw them but eventually they grew on me especially after actually test driving one, then seeing the grill mod options out there. To each his own though but I think the 7th gen is one sweet ride inside and out.
