just received my lights today. BOTH side at the corner near the reverse are broken. Put the lights back in the box and realize the corner was no protected and face towards bottom of the box. Any impact would break them. I'm so mad now. coz I waited 2 weeks for it to clear canada custom.

now, really don't know what to do???

I apologize to all of you who received broken tails,(5 of you now) by the time I found out that there was going to be an issued like that it was to late for me to do anything about it, from now on lights will be shipped with extra protection on that corner, basically I just trusted IPCW when they said that the lights would be fine when shipped the way I got them from them, ups guess not.

O yea and all the lights are insured so just bear with me and a new set will be sent out to you,

Is there any update on mine? I think the priority express mail that was given to me expires today. I checked my mail and no 'slip' or note on the door saying I had something to pick up. Please check PM for message and number to contact me.

Hey guys! I'm back from the dead!!!

I really like what you've been doing here, and thinking about getting them in a color that matches the car's paint (will black do it, Deus?).

But, I think it wouldn't match up with the headlights being factory chrome. I think it's better if the inside of the headlights are painted to match the car's color too. Do you guys know if someone is making this? I'm scared of opening them up by myself...

The license plate lights with 5 LEDs from autolumination.com fit and look great. So the winning combination:

License Plates (x2) - 194's

4 LEDs on the sides, 1 LED on the tip.

Reverse Lights (x2) - 921's

9 LEDs on the tip.

cfr, those long 194's still fit inside the cabin as the floor lights. Used both of mine for that and love how bright they are inside. I got the shorter ones as I mentioned in post #289 for the license plates after all. They do work perfectly.

As a side note I got some 6 LED 31mm bulbs for the dome lights. They barely fit after using the pliers to shove them in...

Looks like I'll be changin them out and ordering 2 more so I have 4 all the way around. I am assuming that you are talking about the doors. I'll be doing the dome lights a bit later, to include the glove box light and the trunk light. Actually I ordered a 3rd of the short 194s for the license plate and the trunk lid. Eventually I'll order ALL interior replacement 'lights' with the LED's. How did you get the 'red' lense out of the door?? Just pry?

I'm talking about the floor lights. There is 1 light under the steering wheel and 1 under the glove compartment that shoot directly at the floor. Those will take the long 194s...

I do need to get another short one for the trunk and something for inside the glove compartment.

You know as soon as I walked downstairs and opened the door, the lights you were talking about stood out. LOL. Well those are changed with the long 194's. I'll replace the 4 door lights, the glovebox, the 2 front over head dome lights, the trunk & the license plate lights with the short 194's. The rear dome lights are a fuse type of bulb, so I'll research that one also and then be done with the LED's. Fairly in-expensive and will definitely give the interior a new fresh look.

Just got the replacement black ones in and I gotta say I LOVE THESE MUCH BETTER THAN THE RED's.

HOLY COW it looks amazing. The black really flows with the smoke grey of the car. I got the 921 reverse bulbs in, ordered 3 small 194's for the license plate and the trunk. The long tree 194's I put underneath the dash...wow what a difference. The tail lights look amazing. Now I gotta get some one to drive it so I can tail them so I can see what it looks like as another driver.

EXCELLENT PRODUCT!!!!!!!!!!!

Going home for Mother's day this weekend but will try to post pics next week

(no pliers required)

I installed mine and had the same problem. All I did was pull the connector back off and re-install it. After that they worked fine.

I have only one issue now!

I have switchbacks in the front and the new tails w/ 6 ohm resistors tapped in the rear of the car.

Left turn blinks at double time, Right blinks perfectly, and when I use the hazards they work perfectly?!?!?!?!

Any suggestions?

Mine both blinked fast so I took them off, plan on getting some 6ohm's or a new flasher (just need to figure out which one)

No, The post after that says that I fixed it, The blinkers was my fault I guess i played with them a little more and they started working. as far as the damage on the light, I still have the lights on the vehicle and its a little chip on the corner where the reverse light is not even noticeable. ( I didn't notice it until I was done installing) Luckily Edgar had these babies insured and should be speaking to USPS about it. Also units were shipped directly from IPCW so they werent packaged by him either. But with the chipping issue im sure they will start packaging better.

They are DOT approved so they should be legal in all 50 states. Regarding which color lense, it all depends on your other mods. You cant go wrong with red because it has an OEM appearance but its LEDs instead of regular bulbs. Smoke is a nice middle ground between black and clear.

I have liquid silver and went with black since it goes well with my 30% tint in the rear. Probably depends on how dark of a tint you have, assuming you have tint.

Just make sure to get the LED reverse lights...install them both at the same time
