Ebay headers arrived.

So here they are. The Ebay headers i Ordered last friday are here, arrived just as i pulled into the driveway today. And this is what i received... From what i can see the quality is awesome. The bends, the welds are amazing, much better than i expected. Going to install them tomorrow with a buddy so i will let you know if i come across any problems. And for what i paid, this isnt the product i expected, but i am very very pleased. I just hope the install goes well being they are for the 3.5 altima, but so are the hotshots chernmax installed on his max.

Do you have a link to which ebay seller and how much did you pay. This is something I may do soon.

They look nice but I'm still gonna wait for the Cattman Headers to come out. Keep us updated when you get them installed and what kind of gains you see from them, if you could get on the dyno before and after that would be great.

your going to run into a few issues if you and your buddy are doing it..

First off I hope you have a shop with a lift , my guy installed it and took the whole day.

one problem I see also with Megan like my TopSpeed is that for the rear Header by the firewall there isnt a EGR TUBE. your going to basically elimated the EGR and weld the OEM one off. Thats going to cause the SES light to come on and trigger EGR MALFUCTION.

Second , I hope those headers came with extending wires for the o2 sensors.

Third, Try not to use those Gasket that game with it.. there are cheap and flimsy.

Fourth , the rear headers are a BIOTCH to get it, you basically going to need to almost pull the subframe off and tilt it slighty to get the header off from the rear. Your going to need to play around with it and slide it out.

Best luck to you , I saw what my guy had to go thru and that **** is a headache.

You can have an EGR bung welded on for $25-60

Those headers look nice but from what I recall of Cherns write-up you it's a really tough install but certainly not impossible. Good luck, take plenty of pics! It would be nice to see they y-pipe side by side with a CE or Cattman just for comparison.

its not as easy as you think , its easy to weld but you gotta located extacly on the runners.. If you look at the OEM manifold it runs into the runners on the headers.. Therefore thats probally 2 days of having the car in a shop.

Which would probally **** off your mechanic if he has one lift.

Help

SRRY IM OFF BUT IM A NOOB WHO JUST NEED DIRECTION.

I have an 04' SL. I want the 18" staggered touring wheels off a 350z (aka annivesary ed.) The front rims are 18x8 and the rear are 18x8.5. I simply want to know if they will fit and maybe a few pros & cons of the idea. I was told they would and i was also told they wouldn't unless i had the fronts (18x8) or the rears (18x8.5) all around. Can i put them on if they are already mounted or what do i have to go thru to make em fit?? im lost

PLEASE HELP ME. IM JUST LOOKING FOR AN ANSWER. EVEN IF SOMEONE CAN SHOW ME WHERE TO FIND AN ANSWER.

Just thought id give you all an update. I couldnt wait so we started on them earlier today about 6pm central time. Anyways, all we did tonight was get the OEM exhaust manifolds off. And let me tell you, IT was A BIG PAIN in the ***! So if your unexperienced and dont have patience, dont try this yourself. Luckily my buddy is a mechanic, and has every tool you need to do anything.

In the Morning we are going to install the megan racing headers. I did a quick fit check before i left his house and it looks great! Hes gonna weld a new EGR bung on so that wont be a problem. I took lots of pics but i forgot my camera at his place so i will just post the pics tomorrow.

Good job on the head start. Do you have the link to which headers you bought on ebay? There are some that are local to me for a little over $100.

I just shot out an email to my local motorsports shop. I'm curious how much their header install will run me. I am figuring $400 to $600 depending on the place. I warned him about the EGR bung and wire extensions.

Sorry for not posting any pics yet friend is gonna e-mail them to me tonight. I am done for the day got the egr bung on(which took a while to get lined up nice and perfect) and the front and rear manifolds mounted. Had to take off the power steering pump to make clearance to squeeze the rear manifold in, and grind away some of the flange on the front header where it connected to the y-pipe becuase is was contacting the starter. still got to put the throttle body back on and the y-pipe and reconnect a few lines should have it finished tomorrow night. will post pics later tonight of the progress.

I tried best-offer on these headers. The seller just automatically declined me all the way up to $65. Whats the point of having a best offer?
