Superchargers are cheaper than turbos. Turbos take a lot more work to install. Turbos take a lot more work to maintain. They usually require a turbo timer. They are prone to damage. Superchargers are also prone to damage. Superchargers can hurt your alternator. Superchargers can throw belts or blow belts. Turbos put down more horsepower than superchargers. You can alternate your boost with a turbo. Superchargers can't usually be turned off (some can with a clutch). You can upgrade turbo's to different stages, superchargers you can't.

Yada yada yada.

Joshua

LOL, you're no fun...

I dont have a bag of opinion pretzels. Im sure you can you buy me one though!?

The beauty of this thread is simply.... "IF"

"IF" the S/C was out before the turbo... would Chern have the S/C???

"IF" anyone had 3K to blow in order to save 2.5K vice a turbo.. would that person spend it on the S/C??

"IF" this thread was meant to compare a Turbo to a S/C.... would your post be here now?

Not tryin to be an A hole but this thread is based on "IF"

Plain and simple....

Hmm...I'm considering a wet nitrous system (with xtra fuel line).....and a modest 50 - 60 HP gain at higher RPMS....sort of a cruise missile type of arrangement...lol!

A lot less plumbing and simpler than TURBO or SC.....
