jsmith.. the car looks spectacular as usual but I have a question for you. How much prep work did you need to do for the textured spray paint? A high grit sanding perhaps? In addition to that I worry that without an Adhesion Promoter it may start to flake. Then again, I've heard nothing but praise for this product from Dupli-Color.

I did do a light sanding, with high grit. I used Rust-Oleum textured paint for plastic from Home Depot.

Jsmith, your car looks niiiiice. Where can I get that same bumper and grill. I've searched all throughout the internet and the one that I kind of like (not considering the one you have on) is the Sorona (I think that's what it's called) body kit, but I definately like this one much better. Also, can you give me info regarding the fogs you put on the bumper as well.

Thanks

Well it looks like this bumper is no longer available (long story) Your only other option is Sarona (or Stillen lip) at this point but there's more stuff in the works as well...

Do a search for "redlinemax bumper" you will find plenty of threads...

Concept front bumper from bodykits.org ...virtually 100% the same as the rlm front bumper.

That is nice. The one thing though I don't really like about it, it's the empty space you have on the fogs as opposed to the RLM bumper. If the RLM bumper isn't available though, I will most likely get this one. Thanks.

jsmith, what type of grill is that? Up to now I liked the E&J grill the best, but yours looks very nice, and where did you get the mesh for the bottom portion?

Sorry for answering all the questions directed to jsmith but im bored..lol..and im done alot of readin on this stuff. J's bumper also has the "empty space" next to the fogs...his is just covered from the inside with wire mesh. And the grill is probably an old RLM grill (no longer in production) but you can go to activetuning.com and look at the grills available there. Very nice and similar to j's.

That's right, just noticed the mesh right next to the fogs. No need for apologies, I appreciate your help on this and on the other post.

It's not virtually the same bumper, it IS the same bumper. Bodykits did the manufacturing for RLM when they were in business, they used my car for the molds and fit testing. I looked on their site but didn't see it, anyways thanks for seeing what I couldn't!!

As for the bumper in the pic on their site, that is how gtr_rider designed it but it came out a bit differently. And they use his design for their site with no props to him whatsoever, BTW.

lol, I saw that you posted in my thread and my first thought was, here we go a immature waste of a response. Well you didn't let me down that's for sure. Now just go away once and for all...

Oh and thanks for your honesty, because opinions are like you, oops I mean a$$holes, everyone has one

And please don't bother with a reply, you'll just be wasting my time and everyone else's, anyone can go through your post history and see what a "valued" member you are on Maxima.org

If you don't swing off someone's nuts when they post pics of their ride, they get all butthurt.

Not it's not that at all, I could care less what you think about my car. I actually feel really sorry for you. It's just the reality that you must be so despondent because 90% of posts you make are negative, not sure how you manage your daily life with that kind of attitude...

Oh and I made sure my sig showed up again so you could rile at my "hideous" bumper because I know you'll be back in this thread with more constructive things to say.

Nice response J!
I've noticed it too - most of Tehaviator's posts are negative.

Hey Tehaviator - congrats for the awesome sig man you got going on there!!! Very nice setup indeed. Clean and subtle. So subtle we almost can't see it.....

Welcome to the .05% opinion side of the RLM bumper look...

And no one said you needed to like it, you just don't need to be an a$$ in your delivery, J isn't the only one who loves the look or has the bumper so you're insulting everyone who has one nut sucker...

Bam!!! Anything to make you sick little biatch!!!

RLM bumper looks great, I just wish it was not so low, there are days I pull out of driveways or parking lots and the 1st thought is, I would have tore that bumper off

Before shaving I had 4" up front because my car was dropped on Eibach lowering springs, I had the bumper shaved so I have 5" now of front clearance (my driveway is steep and actually was the biggest problem for me). Yes you have to drive and park different but you get used to it. If your ride height is stock you will have 6" up front.

To date I have not had problems with snow, if it does get bad, I have a plan B.

My B!tches big brother...
