I thought about that. I saw a 5th Gen Maxima like that as it wasnt bad. Also the Altima in the post above - #18- has that look. It seems a bit "chopped up." Look at the G/Z pics above and they have the same lip with the larger gap in front. Its more functional when the splitter goes across the front. The guy in the 4th Gen forum felt the splitter working at 50 mph and really felt it working at higher speeds. Chopping out the middle piece would minimize the functionality of the splitter.

$20 with shipping!

That's not too bad considering at Nissan they're about the same price for the regular non-nismo keychains.

Hey Jess: Can you photoshop a proper-looking splitter on my car based on the pics?

Here are some with car on ground:

Sure could I get a few pics of the front of the car without the cardboard splitter? Maybe I can make one in photoshop for you, that way I don't have to work around the splitter.

Finished quick mock up here It may take me more time to do a side view though. So I might finish it for ya tonight!

I kind of did it to match with the stillen lip that you have. Let me know what you'd like changed or if it's good to go.

I think it's a decent looking mock up. I don't even mind the turn buckles, although they would probably need to be a little "beefier" in all reality. Those look like twigs that could snap at the first sign of trouble LOL. Still, good photochop work Jess!

p.s. CF would be spensive, but SHWEEEET!!!

Good PS Jess. I prefer it straight across the front for more smooth subtle appearance.

It doesnt look very good with that bumper. I probably would be better on an 6.5gen max or the RLM bodykit

I definitely prefer the smoother look of a splitter that goes straight across.

Deus I can't get the wind splitter to look right for the side view

Corrected the front view of the splitter instead of all the angles...

And here's a website, they make custom ones too

The actual splitter will be rounder and prolly a bit shorter too. I plan on it sticking out about 2 inches, which isn't much

that looks nice for what your going for but I would try cutting the edges down closer to the bumper making it not so side like it has wings in the front

I bet it would look great if done right, LOL now loose that wheel gap...

Also remember, the final product will be black so it will look MUCH narrower. It only sticks out about 2 inches at the front and an inch or less on the sides

i don't know, deus - i'm honestly not feelin' it but to each his own. if it makes u happy and if you think it looks good, then go for it brother - i personally like the way ur car looks now. if you really wanna do the hood, then don't do the splitter - it doesn't flow with your stillen lip and in regards to the hood, avoid those side vents if u can, it looks better OEM. that's my opinion, rest is upto u G'Luck !

I think it matches your car but keep it suttle. Not many max's can pull it off....

If you get a hood and splitter like that. I would hump your car.

That makes your car look absolutely amazing, there is no way you can call that a 6th gen maxima anymore. Both you and chern have taken it to another level and another level after that, thats just how impressive your cars are.

How about being more aggressive and incorporating canards by up turning the splitter after it curves around to improve downforce around your front wheels?

I considered these but didn't because it seemed to aggressive . . yes believe it or not I do have my limitations. The bottom cannards look good and more streamlined, but still look a bit tacked on.
