Racingline FSTB #65653876976

Well guys this time all is good!! I finally was able to meet with my test cars yesterday and it fits!!!! There were minor issues but nothing that we need a new sample for. So first thing tuesday morning ( monday is a holiday up here) I'll be on the phone firming things up and getting the orders rolling.

I'll be sending everybody out emails by mid week confirming order information.
Thanks for the trust and patience guys. You've all been great

any closeup pics?

I don't own a 6th gen, but I'm pretty sure that anyone interested in performance aspect of this bar would want to see closeups before buying it.

That bar looks awfully close to the intake manifold.

Can we place orders as well? How does one do that? I'd like one. What price are we talking?

Thank you!

yeah taz i remember you said that you would make one final take on color options before shipping anything out...cause i just wanted to make sure what exactly i asked for and what exactly were the options.

yeah it is looking offly close to the manifold...and what were the minor issues?

DrKlop-As true as your statement is, Taz has posted MANY pictures of this bar from many different angles...well I should say kamilkluczewski has and I'm sure that they are NOT BSing when they say that it fits and does not rub under any conditions, at least I would assume so after dealing with both Kamil and Taz numerous times.

AllBlackMax-You should keep up on the other threads I doubt that he made this one worse than the other "demo" that he had!

Taz-CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS BADBOY!!! (also wanting to know if the color options are still available)

K, im the test car..... I took the car out for a rip around the twisties with the brace on. I wasnt looking for much "performance" but I was very suprised how stiff it made the front end. My car in its nature is has a great amount of oversteer.

Rear AGX on 8, cattman swaybars, cattman springs, and RL Endlinks make the rear of the car drift on my beckoning. When we put the sample brace on and tightened everything up, the car neautrazlized. I'm not even kidding, its so linear now I cant help to wonder why the hell Nissan engineers not include such a basic add on to this car (FWD) but yet they make a stock one with the 350z (RWD).

All the tourque and power is abusing those strut towers during cornering and nothing up there to hold it in place.......... props to Taz and other companies that come up with thease mods for our cars.

TBC.

Thanks !PrjctMax!,

This test sample was wall enforced aluminium. Basically if you cut it in half there are two vertical walls running down the length of the bar. Imagine the CHUNNEL between England and France. Three chambers ( | | ) and well obvioulsy the top and bottoms walls.

The sample was a whicked fit, no rubbing, no touching. I even applied my parking brake and reved the engine forward and in reverse to see engine movement and there was no touching what soever. Saying that I do have my Motor Mount Inserts installed so it would be nice to see what happens on a stock maxima without the benefit of the MMI's. I'm pretty sure there is more then enough clearance even with stock motor mounts to never rub the strut brace.

Right Click and save as.

Continued.............

Last bit of info.

For those of you lucky enough to have a 6sp maxima. (THE BEST) and running the stillen Strut brace, you may notice that your clutch reservoir is a little bent to say the least.

Well Taz also developed a brace to move the clutch reservoir off to the side so it wouldnt be all jammed up against the bar (like Stillens). A little bit of extra work to make a better and fully developed product.

You can see it in the picture on the first post........... I'm pretty sure some people will buy the new strut brace just for that simple reason.

All in all. This is a pretty cool product.

NOW.............
I have the second test set of Front Endlinks on my car right now. They are F....In awesome!!!! Taz has a different polyurethane supplier and it shows because the front bushings have survived my driving without any wear and the front works a lot more then the rear.

I got in touch with a tester in Upland, California that works on NORTH MOUNTAIN AVENUE who was going to get the third sample on his car.... EHM EHGMMMMMM... his website doesnt have his phone number!!!

So you know who you are, msn me dude.

So thats the news so far from the testing end of RacingLine. For more info on the product PM Taz, for questions on its performance feel free to ask away.

Yes its almost like the rear, not hard at all.

When the beta tester gets his set, he will take install pics as we failed to do that when we set them up.

This may sound stupid (my apologies) but are the endlinks for the FSTB? I thought they were for the Sway bars (front and back) are we talking about the same thing?

yes, the endlinks are for the sway bars. If you look through your front wheels, you should see a LONG thin metal looking thing...that is the stock endlink, and how Taz's differs, I do not know

We had plenty of space with the strut bar in place, with the plenum spacer I would recommend the MMIs to make sure that engine doesnt come anywhere near the bar.

Any idea as to when us "non preorder" folk might have an opportunity to buy one of these badboys?

...i've been holding out on getting the Stillen because of certain issues it has.

I wish the endlinks were made or coated with rust proof material.
I wouldn't mind paying a little more knowing that it will last longer.
Any chance for people who had pre-ordered for the strut bar get
discount on front endlinks?

what issues the bar bolts right on except you have to move the AC line, gonna be the same with the Racingline except if you drive a manual

Stillen-possible rubbing on the IM and hood, also not as sturdy as RL bar

RL- Bolt-on, no rubbing, no modifications needed

How wrong would you be. No ac line move necessary. The Brackets are edge cut so they clear the AC line just fine about 2-4mm clearance with the brackets. Can't say that for stillen.......

Taz made really sure nothing touched anywhere.

Miamiblackmax. Save your pesos drive a civic this mod took a long time to get just right, no point selling a product thats half arsed.

The Stillen version was made for the Altima specifically.
Then someone took a chance and discovered
that it "could" fit the Maxima. Some said that there was
no rubbing and others experienced rubbing. I didn't want
to take the chance and rather go with something designed
for the Maxima specifically.

Compare the hinge style of both strut bars and RacingLine
is better.
