Finally available is the FLT-A2 VIP Coilover system for the A34 2004 + Nissan Maxima! These FLT-A2 Coilovers are designed for comfort, a sport ride, and for a nice VIP stance. A comfortable 7kg front spring and 6kg rear progressive spring for maximum ride quality. Ride height is also adjustable for a lower stance and a 15 way adjustable monotube damper allows for fine suspension tuning. The A34 FLT-A2 VIP's MSRP is $2,180.00.

Yeah, I hear you. That's just msrp though. I'm sure we can get'em for about $1500.

Depending on how low I can get the price on these, but I'm starting to see that my transmission needs some upgrades also. I "tested" my car with a 5.5th Gen 6spd and he was able to pull away a little bit. At WOT the slush box shifting is pretty bad especially the 2-3 shift. I might look into a built torque converter and valve body job for starters.

He's barely modded. Home made ram air, I think he has a cat-back or at least a muffler. I know what he has cause he's a friend of mine. I will say though, we were headed to the Monday meet and "met" at a red light along with a late model Prelude. The light turned green and I left both of them. I just remembered that. We'll have to do it again some day.

$2100 or $1500 for that matter needs to give a BMW ride. Anybody have any experience with these? Hotshot, can you describe the ride (comparable to stock and springs that most of us know?)

I dont think coilovers are going to make the ride anything like a BMW, it will certainly handle a LOT better but u will be sacrificing ride quality.

That's my point. For $1500+ they need to do soooooo much more than a good set of lowering springs and adjustable struts. I've heard good things about coilovers, but I'm interested in hearing some real world feedback about these once people start buying them.

You know a major factor in the handling and responsiveness of the Maxima is the poor steering feedback especially at high speeds. The power steering makes the steering wheel extremely floaty at high speeds.

I have Eibachs now and they work pretty good but I wish my car was lowered about an inch more all around.

Had the EIbachs, Got coilovers for the exact reason. And to the guy above, they do do more than just lowering springs, they provide MUCH better handling. If you want a smooth ride then stick with OEM springs cause nothing is going to be as smooth as stock.
