While installing the bulbs you need to be careful the glass bulb itself doesn't scrape against the housing and either get scratched or pickup some grease.

No man....the probability alone of only having the pass. side blowing out 3 times in such a short amount of time alone says somethings up. I definately took care not to touch the bulbs or scrape them. There is something going on when 2 other people say the same thing.

Id like to fix this problem rather then do a retrofit to HID, im happy with halogen in the fogs...Id be happier if they stayed lit on the passenger side.

As far as upgrading the fuse...does this mean there is a seperate fuse for either side? The socket still works, I mean, if the fuse was blown wouldnt you get no power from the socket?

I don't know what it is, but im not putting expensive H3s in anymore until its fixed, i guess i can live with burning out cheap oem bulbs.

no you do not have to take off the bumper, just take off the 5 or 6 closest clips on the splash guards to the bumper and then gently pry it off and the assembly is right there. Now just twist it off and you got it! the bulb size, i'm not too sure but it is in the stickies somewhere

GOT MY YELLOW H3 HID's BUT.........

Do they fit. I bought them in a GD, and I dont think they will fit in the stock housings. Can someone who has done lots of Fog work and HID's shed some light on this. If they work, do I need to modify anthing to make them fit? I thought we needed H3 Mini's??? See pics attached.
Thanks

I know the larger halogen H3's (different manufacturers make different shaped bulbs on the same base) as well as the newer mini-H3's will fit. However I can't shed too much light on wether the HID style will fit. I heard that there is lots of room for the larger H3's to fit.

You should just be able to pop one in there and see if it works or not. Just wire it directly to the battery at the drivers side.

Guys guys guys, to get to and change the fogs or blinkers is really simple (and very clear in the stickies)

http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....=1#post3734123

"For the driver's side you need to remove the intake or the stock air filter. This will give you access to the bulb. For the passenger's side, remove the fluid reservoir (there's 2 10mm bolts holding it in place). After that you'll need to remove the fill tube for the windshield washer fluid. You can do this by twisting it counter clockwise. After that you should have access to the bulb"

Simple as that and have done it plenty of times! I have also taken off the bumper to remove the lenses and it's pretty easy as well but just unecessary labor!!

I don't know too much about the HID style fogs but mt first set of Piaa H3's ($60) lasted me for a year and a half and I have them on pretty much all the time.

They are there, its just they have a foam protector around them, which fits snuggly over a case that covers the bulbs. See pics above.
